A Villanelle can be described as the following:

A form with italian origin defined by its 19 lines
spread across 6 lines. It has 5 tercets(a stanza with
three lines) and a final stanza with 4 lines(quatrain).

First line becomes the last line of the second &


fourth stanzas, while being the third line on the 6th
stanza. Meanwhile, the third line of the first stanza
becomes the last line of the third, fifth, and sixth

Haiku is a traditional Japanese poetic form with
a 3 line poem, which has a 5-7-5 syllable count
Haikus often focus on nature or moments of
reflection and aim to capture a brief, vivid
impression or emotion.
