What does it mean to be a digital citizen?

Digital citizen refers to people who are knowledgeable in the uses of any type of technology and
respectful in all of their interactions and is aware of their limitations when using various platforms. This
means they have ability to engage positively, analytically, and skillfully in the digital environment, relying
on skills of good communication and creation is also possessed by the Digital Citizen. Digital citizens
must also follow the norms of the digital world, be responsible in their use of technology, and act
appropriately in all of their digital relationships and interactions.

How can you observe social, ethical, and legal responsibilities in the use of technology tools and
resources?

As a person who lives in a digital era and is considered a digital citizen, I became so observant of what
people posted on social media. I always have reacted and comments on what they are posting, it's either
good or bad criticism I don’t mind. I will say that I am always updated on what is happenings in the
digital world like issues in politics, trending news about artists who gain supporters or bashers on what
they do, and of course to the people around me. It’s either my friends or enemies. But in the right way,
we should always consider the social, ethical, and legal responsibilities in the use of technology tools
and resources. So we should be mindful of what we are posting on social media especially if you posting
it in public because it means you allowed everyone to view your post. So that everyone can give their
comments or opinions on what you are posting. Another thing, if we want to repost something we need
to acknowledge the owner of that post so that we can prevent copyright infringement.
