CHAPTER 1
In recent years, the academic demands placed on college students have increased
significantly, leading to a pressing need for effective time management skills. Time management
is crucial for students' academic success, personal well-being, and overall development.
However, many college students at Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology
(ISU-FST) struggle with managing their time effectively, which can lead to stress, poor academic
Despite the existence of various time management tools and techniques, there is a gap in
the context of ISUFST for a user-friendly mobile app designed specifically to address the time
management challenges faced by college students. As digital natives, students are more likely to
engage with technology to improve their time management skills. Recognizing this, it is essential
to design and develop a user-friendly mobile app tailored to the unique needs of ISU-FST
students.
This research aims to explore the development and implementation of a mobile app focused on
enhancing time management skills among college students at ISUFST. By addressing this gap,
the study aims to contribute to students' academic and personal growth, leading to improved
overall outcomes.

To design a user-friendly mobile app tailored to the time management needs of college
To evaluate the effectiveness of the designed mobile app in improving time management
To assess the impact of the mobile app on academic performance, stress levels, and work-
Conceptual Framework
The conceptual framework of this study is based on the idea that a user-friendly mobile app can
be a valuable tool for improving time management skills among college students. It incorporates
key elements related to time management, such as goal setting, task prioritization, and schedule
organization, and integrates them into an interactive and user-friendly mobile application. The
framework also considers the potential impact of improved time management on academic
