GV’s CORNDOG

I. Executive Summary

Corndog had been a trend in the recent years. Many millennials are pursuing this
product because of its unique appearance, taste, and also origin which is Korea. We noticed
that there is an increase in the demand for this product since the start of pandemic
especially here on Aroroy municipality because people are now open to try new things that
reflects other country’s culture. Because of this reason, we decided to sell delectable mini
corndog because we think this business will be successful given demand and popularity of
the product, especially to teenagers. Filipinos had been craving Korean foods and we will
provide them with one that is affordable and delicious. Our small business will start to
operate as a home-based enterprise and we will sell our products at schools and other
establishments. To reach a wide array of customers, we will be using both modern and
traditional marketing strategies. We will utilize social media to build brand name and they
could also order us online either through Facebook, Instagram, or SMS. Delectable mini
corndog has many unique features that could help in overrunning competitions and that
could help in penetrating the target market. The customers could choose if they wanted
their corndog plain or spicy. They could also choose the sauce they wanted to use to their
purchase snack. The target market of the enterprise will be the students and people who
likes Korean foods.
The initial capital that is projected for a month is Php 2,924. This will be the expense
for a one-month selling of the product. On the other hand, the expected revenue for a month
is Php 3,000 if the product were produced each week would be 50 pcs and be sold at a unit
price per Php 15.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Owners/Managers- they will be the one monitoring the business and
overview its performance. They will be held accountable for every
decision/action that is taken for the business and will also finance the
enterprise in order for to operate well.
2. Cook/Chef- they will be the one in charge of the production and
preparation of the food that will be sold to the customers.
3. Seller- they are in charge of the selling of the products to the consumers
using various marketing and sales strategy.

A. Purpose of the Product


The goal of our product is to give consumers an affordable but tasty mini corndog.
Delectable mini corndog’s main goal is to be able to offer great satisfaction to the residents
of Aroroy.

B. Products Unique Features

Delectable mini Corndog has plenty of unique features that will help increase its
salability to the consumers. They could choose if they wanted their corndog plain or spicy.
Customers could also freely choose what sauce they want to be paired with their purchased
corndog.

C. Material and Equipment requirements and Sources of Supply


The materials and equipment and their sources are as follows:

D. Production process and controls that will be used to manufacture the product
Below is the process on how to make a corndog:
1. Prepare all the ingredients and materials needed and wash them thoroughly.
2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl; stir in milk
and egg to make a batter.
3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Meanwhile, pat frankfurters dry and insert a skewer into each one. Roll frankfurters in
batter until well coated.
4. Fry 2 or 3 corn dogs at a time in preheated oil until lightly browned, about 3 minutes.
Drain on paper towels.

E. Distribution Logistics
GV’s Corndog will operate as a home-based enterprise and will be using both word-
of-mouth and social media to advertise the product. Customers may choose if they wanted
plain or spicy corndog and what sauce they would like to go with it. Sellers will usually go to
schools or other establishment to sell and display the product but delivery can also be made if
it is within Aroroy only.

According to the graph above, social media mentions of corn dogs have decreased
over the last years by -17.84%, but demand has not changed much. The fastest-growing
consumer need for corn dogs is for snacks, and veganism is the most popular diet for corn
dogs worldwide (3.96% of restaurants have them on their menus).

GV's Corndog will use a variety of channels or media to promote the product, which
will greatly contribute to its future success, in order to reach a wider range of customers. It
will strengthen the product's identity and perhaps draw customers' attention. We will use both
traditional and modern marketing strategy which is as follows:
a. Word-of-mouth marketing (WOM)- a marketing tactic in which clients
recommend your products based on their positive interactions with the business you
run. This will make it easier for GV's Corndog to both retain its current clientele and
draw in new ones.
b. Social media marketing (SMM)- Building brands and boosting sales are achieved by
engaging with customers on social media platforms. Given how popular social media
is today, we will also use it to promote our product which is the Delectable Mini
Corndog. We will be able to reach a wider customer base by using social media.

C. Sales Strategy
In order to generate more income, we will use different kinds of sales strategy so that
customers will buy our product. We will bring the business to our customer for easy and
comfortable purchasing. We will roam around the establishment to sell our product so that
they may purchase the product at their convenience. We will also promote our Delectable
Mini Corndog in our social media accounts to reach a wide range of customers and to also
inform them about our product. Consumers may reach us through online platform such as
Facebook or Instagram to purchase our product and pay us either through face-to-face or
through Gcash.

Delectable mini corndog has plenty of features that will be helpful in penetrating
target market and overrunning competitors.

 Variety of flavors- consumers will be offered 2 flavors that they could choose from.
They can choose their corndog either plain or spicy.
 Variety of sauce- customer can choose what sauce they would like to go with their
corndog. Whether they liked it sweet, spicy, or cheesy, we got them covered.
 Size of the product- the products miniature size can add up to its visual appeal that
customers may find appealing.
 Affordability- The price of the product will be cheap and this can become an
advantage for the business since people are more drawn to products that are
affordable.
