Badminton begginers guide 1 week training drills:

Firstly needing the following materials:


1. Racket 1-2 ( recommended string tension for beginners is 24-26 due to it having great power
output and lesser chances of breaking down. If you are an expierenced player recommended
tension is 26-30.
2. 12-18 pesos nylon/ yellow plastic shuttle cock
3. (2) feather shuttlecock

Practice drill:
1. (3) days (25 minutes)wall practice by each day add a distance of a meter using the
12-18 pesos nylon/yellow plastic shuttlecock and identifying your comfortable grip in
the process
2. Learn the basic rules and regulations of the given sport:
3. (2) days 40 minutes practice a rally with an opponent target at least a 40 second
duration rally with applying basic serve,recieve,stance and strokes using the feather
shuttlecoc
4. (2) days (1 hour) practice rally with a better opponent with applying court rules using
the feather shuttlecock target making the rally a 2 minute duration rally
5. (1) day If all was executed great learn the following:
Flick recieve,serve

Backhand recieve using backhand grip

Net drop,drop

Learn the following basic types of smashes: wrist,power,jump smash

Master striking with the “good spot” (striking the shuttlecock in the most middle of the string
head-part of a racket)
