Adolescented Candle Hypothesis
Hypothesis: if I light the candles at the same time then the unscented candle will burn
faster because of its properties. Control Group: The control group is the unscented
candle. Independent Variable: The independent variable is the unscented candle and the
scented candle (black cherry). Dependent Variable: The dependent variable is the time
(30 minutes)

Materials: The materials that are needed are a timer to know when 30 minutes is up and
it s time to blow the candles out. Also a lighter to light the candle so they can burn. A pen
for writing the data down and paper to wright the data down on. Also don t forget the
candles which are mainstay unscented and black cherry scented to be able to collect data.

Procedures: First take the timer and set it for 30 minutes. Next take both the candles and
light them at the same time. While lighting them have another person press the timer.
After the timer go s off blow out the candles and ... Show more content on

As can see it does vary and wouldn t have been able to do it without doing more than a
couple of trials.
According to the data it looks like unscented candles burn a little bit faster than scented
candles but they both pretty much burn at the same rate of speed. Also one reason why
the unscented candle burns quicker is because it s not as processed as the scented
candles are with all the scents and colors.

For this experiment it takes about two and a half hours to complete. Do this experiment
in an open space where nothing could catch on fire as the experiment is being done.
Make sure you are watching this experiment at all times and also make sure there are
no little ones around. Do not play with the candles just watch it, again have no things
around it that will not catch on fire like maybe your hair or any long sleeves and then it
should be safe to enjoy this
The Pros And Cons Of Grandparents
1 Census data indicate that in the United States there are approximately 2.4 million
grandparents raising 4.5 million grandchildren. Grandparents raise their grandchildren,
for their biological parents cannot care, or choose not to care the child that they born.
Some common reasons are teenage pregnancy, divorce, drug or alcohol addiction,
physical health issues, death of the parent, unstable home life, homelessness, child
neglect or abuse, or one of the parents is in jail.
In The Real Reality program, we saw two different examples; one was the two foster
care youths that they moved into a foster family within less than an hour, for their
mother won t be able to take care of them, because she was going to the jail. Second
example was, the grandparents that were taking care of their two grandchildren, even
though they were suffering with their bills, yet they were feeling themselves responsible
for their grandchildren. According to (Langosch, 2012) Grand parents generally step in
when parents troubled lives as a result of substance abuse, child abuse and neglect, family
violence, or physical or mental illness threaten children s well being . 2. Grand parents
will prefer to raise their grandchildren rather than leave them to stranger, for they love
them more than anyone else, they have a close blood bond, emotional bond, and
attachment with their grandchildren, they have the same family history, values, and
culture, that they want to pass them to the next generation; by
E.E. Cummings and His Wondrous Works
Edward Estlin Cummings was born on October 14, 1894 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Cummings began writing his poems as early as ten years old. His unique ideas and
various poetic devices that were included in his poetry induced him to be one of the most
remembered poets of modern day time. E.E. Cummings was an intriguing poet that is
known for many poetic ideas. Among them, Cummings was known for his ability to
create meaning using structure and his avant garde approach towards language. In his
work, Cummings experimented radically with form, punctuation, spelling and syntax,
which caused him to abandon traditional techniques and structures to create a new, highly
distinctive mean of poetic expression. By introducing this new innovative writing style,
Cummings has influenced thousands of poets to carry on with his expression, which is
what he had hoped for.

The wide range of writing style that Cummings included while composing his poems
gave him the title of originality. While some of his poetry is free verse (with no concern
for rhyme or meter), many have a recognizable sonnet structure of 14 lines, with an
intricate rhyme scheme. E.E. Cummings poem, Fame Speaks, is an example of one of
his more formal poems. The rhyme scheme is an example of a petrarchan sonnet. The
sonnet Fame Speaks talks about how E.E. Cummings wants to be remembered as a great
poet and not forgotten in the future. On the other hand, a number of his poems feature a
typographically cheerful style,

The Bleske Rechek Studies
In 2001 and 2012, there were studies both lead by April Bleske Rechek about attraction
in cross sex relationships conducted in 2 parts. She collaborated with David Buss in the
2000 Study Can Men and Women Be Just Friends? . Bleske Rechek and Buss focused on
two key things: Sex differences in perceived benefits and costs of opposite sex
friendships. (Bleske Rechek, 2000). The researchers had 4 hypotheses, one being, For
men, more than for women, one function of opposite sex friendship is to provide sexual
access to the opposite sex. The second one being, For women, more than for men, a
function of opposite sex friendship is to provide resources. the third one, For men and
women, a function of opposite sex ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This graphs shows the results within their study.

This chart shows the differences between the two categories and items. Looking at the
table and the variety of the results from later within the study it seems that .77 and .74
are resulting from average took from the original data. Some results lined up with the
hypothesis like Hypothesis 1, In support of Hypothesis 1, categorical level analyses
revealed that men evaluated the potential for having sex with their close opposite sex
friend as more beneficial than did women (male M = 1.97, SD = 2.14;female M = .74,SD
= 1.48;t(73) = 3.39,~ .001, d = .34) . (Bleske Rechek, 2000). Thus, proving that males
have different ways of thinking where the relationship is going within the friendship. The
second study which is a lot more recent and had a very different goal behind it, In the
current set of studies, we aim to determine the degree to which men and women
experience romantic attraction in these purportedly non romantic alliances, and the
frequency with which they perceive attraction as a benefit rather than a cost of being
involved in cross sex friendships. (Bleske Rechek, 2012). Basically, this study focused
more on the opposite sex and attraction between the participants. In this study they refer
to their hypotheses as predictions . A prediction that was stated within the research was
that Young men would experience more attraction to their female counterparts. And the
turnout was
Seligram Case Cost Accounting
Was the existing system adequate in the past? Why or why not? Why is it no longer
adequate? The existing system was adequate in the past due to heavy reliance on direct
labor hours. The ETO served as a central cost center, and transferred the costs to other
divisions at direct costs plus allocated burden. Being in the late 1970s and early 1980s,
technology testing of components required fewer cycles, and less complicated structures.
Hence, such testing on products could be carried out by direct labor. The products
included Integrated circuits, capacitor resistors, transistors and similar components. The
testing center would handle about 500 components per month, and close to 3,000 per
year. In addition, the main components tested were... Show more content on

Descriptive Essay Monologue
Chicken, yeah I ll show you chicken. In case you haven t been stalking me as of
fifteen seconds ago, I was just dared to go hit on this girl because I may or may not
have been checking her out. I mean what do you want me to do she is pretty attractive.
Taking my stroll over to the beautiful girl s table, I definitely began to have second
thoughts. Moving closer and closer I could see every bit of detail in her hair, her skin,
everything. She had a face of an angel. I was definitely having second thoughts I
should probably retreat or just run far far far away. As I looked back the guys were
watching like a hawk watches its prey. Well you probably heard Scottie s point of view
on her well the book is pretty popular. Anyway this ain t about him this is about me.
Wow that sounds very self centered of me to say but this is my story. Either way I just
walked over to her and well I did feel something weird, almost as if my legs were
vibrating and well bad things happened. I almost threw up, however I resisted the urge
to regurgitate all over the floor and become the laugh of the year. Well luckily no body
fluid came out of me. Well, this was a situation I did not enjoy being in I made a noise
that sounded something like hello, did I fool you no, look I am not Scottie I can talk
to girls. I simply said, Hi, do you know me? I think we have chemistry together? You
get the word play there, no, well she did. She actually laughed at my terrible joke. I had
finally won an Olympic gold
