CONDITIONS TO PLAY:

● Only Entigrity employees are allowed to participate in games. Family members are
more than welcome to join in as spectators.
● Only those players who were allocated during auctions or
allocated to squads by the committee will be allowed to play during team distribution.
● New joiners will be allowed to join a squad on the condition that the asking squad is
short of an adequate number of players because they have backed out of the
tournament and are not going to play for them anymore.
● We can allow a new joiner to be included in the squad for the semi-finals or final match,
only if the above condition is fulfilled.
● It is mandatory to maintain the decorum of the ‘gentleman's game’. Therefore, wearing
a sports jersey, full-length lowers/trousers, and sports shoes is mandatory. Slippers,
quarter pants, and shorts will not be allowed for the players, and we are not allowing
them to play the Matches.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
● We have 3 teams & 4 individual matches for each team.
● 1 semi-final
● 1 Final
● Winning team to be awarded 2 points for win. 0 for loss. In case of rain, both the teams
will share 1 point each.
● The rank one team will directly play in the Finals and the ranked second and third teams will
play Semi-final.
TEAMS GUIDELINES:
● The tournament aims to increase participation and build team spirit with
entertainment.
● Each team comprises of 15/16 or more players.
● It is mandatory for every team to give a chance to every player from the squad in at
least one of their league matches.
● If a team fails to fulfil this condition and qualifies for the semi-finals, they will have to
include those for the semi-final match.
● Maximum 2 substitutes can be allowed at a time for one team during fielding.
● It is mandatory to report the substitution to the scoring panel before the match starts.
● To win or to lose is secondary, therefore it is expected from every team that they will
involve every player and allow a role to each of the members in the squad. This time
we are not penalizing by disqualification, but barring the substitution as much as it can
be.
● If it is observed that a player goes against team spirit and the whole team is liable to
suffer due to his/her misconduct or irresponsibility, that player will be banned from EPL.
PLAYING RULES:
TOSS:
● The toss will happen at least 25 minutes before the start of the match therefore it is
mandatory to be present with the squad at the ground at least half an hour in advance
of the match.
● In case one of the other matches is in progress (in the circumstances of a tiebreaker, or
weather delay or slow over rate) The toss timing will not be delayed, and the toss will
happen at its due time so that the upcoming match starts on or close to schedule.
● In the absence of captains and vice-captains, another acting captain can do the toss-in
their place.

TIMINGS:
● There will be three matches on every match day.
● Reporting time on the ground – 30 Minutes before each Match.
● A team with a minimum of 8 players (“Adequate Players”) can start if the whole squad is
not present and no substitute from any other team or source can fill their position.
● The match will not start unless teams have an adequate number of players.
● A team that delays the start by 30 minutes in the absence of adequate players will be
enforced a walkover and the point will be awarded to the opposition. (A friendly game
can be organized in its place, subject to ground and time availability).
● The delay time will include the time lapsed due to an excessive number of extra (wide-no
ball) deliveries by bowlers. Please take into account all the time.
● Batsmen must refrain from taking too much time to make strategies and prolonged
drink breaks, this time will be deducted from their share. (An aggregate delay of more
than 10 minutes is not allowed and the batsmen at the crease may be asked to
declare, and they will come to bat again only after all the other players are dismissed)
● In the case of the league stage and semi-finals, finishing each inning within 65
minutes, including drinks break time is required. That means one match should end in
less than 2 hours 15 minutes. Deliberate delays might bring a penalty to the team at
fault and may result in a reduction of runs or overs to play. That will be awarded at the
committee’s decision after consultation with the umpires right on the spot.
● In normal circumstances, the gap between 2 matches should be 45 minutes, which will
be used for a toss for the next match and then dinner.

INNINGS:
● Each inning will be 12 overs per side in the league stage and semi-finals.
● The Final match will be of 14 overs per side game.
● In 14 overs games, the innings will be divided into two halves of 7 overs each, separated
by drinks break of 5 minutes.
● The innings break will be 15 minutes in all the matches.
BATTING RULES:
● No limitations on strike rate. Hit as much and as hard as you can without mercy.
● Injured/differently abled/sick players will be permitted to have a runner if allowed by
the opposition, on the condition that the runner is in the playing XI and is already
dismissed. Substitute players will not be made runners for any player during the match.
And you can’t ask for a runner/substitute from any other team. If you are unable to run,
just declare or give away your wicket.
● Two runners will not be allowed to feature at the same time.
● A retired hurt player can come back to bat/bowl when he thinks he is fit to resume
(Except not in the middle of an ongoing over).

BOWLING RULES:
● Matches in the group stages and semifinals will have 12 overs to be bowled.
● Only one bowler can bowl 4 overs and the rest cannot bowl more than 3 overs.
● 1 compulsory over bowled by a “female” Player between over 1 to 6. (Boundaries are counted as
half runs e.g., a hit of 6 could count as 3)
● There is one ‘Challenge over’ taken by the bowling team between over 9 to 12. (Only hits made
by the bat count as doubles)
● If there are any complaints against a bowler’s bowling action/chucking, the facing
batsman can report to the umpire. If found guilty the umpire will give no ball. If this
repeats, the bowler can be barred from bowling further in that game. The remaining quota
will be bowled by any other bowler with an available quota.
● No bowling substitute allowed from players not in the playing XI.
● Waist-high full toss deliveries, field restriction violations, and wide balls will be counted
as extras during these overs.

FIELDING RULES:
● Maximum 2 players allowed outside 30-yard circle during power play over. The first 4
overs will be power play overs for each inning.
● Still, it is required by the fielding side to keep at least 4 fielders inside the 30-yard circle
for the entire innings (Excluding the wicketkeeper and bowler). Failing this will be a ‘No
Ball.’
● Maximum 5 fielders are allowed on the leg side.
● Field placements can’t be changed during ‘free hit’.

EXTRAS:
● LEG BYES: NO RUN There is no provision for L.B.W., therefore no leg bye runs are
allowed. If a batsman-runner pair attempts to take runs on leg byes, then run out will
be allowed.

● BYES: In the situation when the ball passes the batsman, even if it is wide, he can
take runs. (An extra run for wide will be added to the number of runs taken and all the runs
made in this process will be counted in extras.) Runouts are allowed in this situation.
too.
● NO BALLS: Bowler Overstepping, Second Bouncer (after umpire’s warning), Beemer, or Field
Restrictions violation will be counted as a No-Ball. Each No-Ball shall qualify for
a free hit. The no ball will be also an extra ball to be bowled. Run-out is the only way to take a
wicket on no balls and free hits and will remain in effect until a legitimate delivery is bowled.

● WIDE BALLS: UMPIRE’S CALL Standard distance for off-side wide will be measured
as one bat length from the middle stump. Balls going outside will be on the umpire’s
call to be named wide. An extra run will be added to the team score.
● OVERTHROWS: Runs on overthrows are applicable.
➢ Overthrows during leg byes won’t bring any runs, even if they cross the
boundary.
➢ Runs coming from overthrows are not extra runs, they will be credited to
the batsmen’s score.
➢ During ‘Super Play’ runs will be doubled, but the ones scored by batsmen will.
be credited to him, and the additional runs credited to the team score.
➢ Overthrow runs resulting out of byes during ‘Super Play’ will not be doubled.

● DEAD BALL: Slight change here than the actual international rule. If the ball bounces
more than once before reaching the batsman/popping crease, it will be called a dead
ball. No runs or wickets will be allowed on such deliveries. The bowlers will have to bowl
again. No runs as extra will be added too.
