Total procedure time (hr): 3.00

1. Place the front axle on the wooden blocks and drive in the axle with the trolly jack.

2. Lift the front axle on place, install the pin.


Install locking plate (1) and the fastening bolts (2).
Tightening torque: 85 ±8.8 Nm (62.7±6.5 lbf.ft)

4. Lubrication hose

3. Install the adapter and the lubrication hose (4) on the rear side of the pin.

4. Install the grease nipple with the extension piece (2) on the front side of pin.

5. Connect the brake hoses (1) on the knuckle housing.

6. Connect the steering hoses (1) on the steering cylinder.

7. Install the propeller shaft the front axle.


Tightening torque: 69 Nm (51 lbf.ft)

8. Activate the axle lock cylinders. Start the diesel engine and press the axle locking switch (see operator manual).
If this is not possible before installing the wheels, support the axle with blocks.

9. Install the wheels, see Wheel, installation.


10. Bleed the brake system, see Brake system bleeding.

11. Function check:


After any work has been done in a safety related electrical or hydraulic system, a function check must be performed. For
