REAR AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK ADJUSTMENT

For normal operation of the differential lock, check

the position of handle (4) and valve (1) of the
differential lock.

1. Secure the free end of cable (2) in the clamp.

The cable should extend a maximum of 0.197 to
0.394 in. (5 to 10 mm) behind the clamp.

2. Put the handle (4) in position I. Pull the cable I OFF position
until the spool valve begins to turn, and secure the II AUTOMATIC position
coupling with screws (3). Position the second clamp III POSITIVE ON position
closely to the coupling, and secure it with screw (3).

To check the adjustment, put the handle in posi-

tion II, figure 3. The mark on the spool valve should
align with the mark ‘ON’ at the difflock valve dial
cover. The handle On the lock valve should come
back to position I from positions II and III, under the
force of the spring,
