Biographies
Shuyi Cao is an interdisciplinary artist. She is a
co-founder of Decompose and is a current
member of NEW INC in the Creative Science
track at the New Museum. She teaches at
Parsons School of Art, Media, and Technology
(AMT), The New School. She has participated
in exhibitions in the Chengdu Times Arts
Museum, 490 Atlantic Gallery, A.I.R. Gallery,
GRIDSPACE, SLEEPCENTER, Westbeth
Gallery, 25 East Gallery, and the BABZ Art
Books Fair in New York. She has held positions
as Artist-in-Residence at MASS MoCA in North
Adams, MA, and the School of Visual Arts, NY.
She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons
School of Design, and a Bachelor of Laws and a
Master of Public Administration from Fudan
University.

Remina Greenfield is an art researcher and co-


founder of Decompose. She holds an MFA in
Design and Technology from Parsons School of
Design, where she is currently a part-time
faculty member, and she has taught at Stevens
Institute of Technology. Remina is a member of
NEW INC in the Creative Science track at the
New Museum. Her work has been shown in
Studio XX in Montreal, the HTMlles Festival,
Plateforme Paris, the REFRAG Festival, and
Agora Rollberg Berlin, among others.

Ross McBee is a PhD candidate in the Wang lab


at Columbia University, focusing on synthetic
genomics, microbiomes, and living materials.
He received a bachelor of science from the
University of Texas, Austin.
