EUPHEMISMS ARE USED INSTEAD: "HECK", "DARN", "BLAZES", "FLAMING" AND OTHERS.
IN THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE, THEIR UNMITIGATED EQUIVALENTS, WHICH USUALLY
CONTAIN THE LEXEMES "ЧОРТ", "ДІДЬКО", "БІС", ARE MUCH LESS COMMON AND,
ACCORDINGLY, THEY HAVE A MUCH MORE REDUCED CONNOTATION. THESE EXAMPLES
OF EXCLAMATIONS ARE LESS FREQUENT IN THE TEXT, AS THEY CARRY A NEGATIVE
MEANING:
"OH, TO BLAZES WITH THAT!" SAID VIOLET – ОЙ,ТА НУ ЙОГО! – УРВАЛА ВІОЛЕТА."HE’S
TAKING A HECK OF A LONG TIME TO COME ACROSS, SAID MR TEAVEE”– “ДОВГО Ж ВІН
ДОБИРАЄТЬСЯ! – СКАЗАВ ПАН ТІВІ”.AS YOU CAN SEE, SUCH INTERJECTIONS ARE
SOMETIMES OMITTED, AND THEIR STYLISTIC EFFECT IS COMPENSATED FOR BY ADDING
SECONDARY ELEMENTS. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSLATOR CHANGED THE TYPE OF
SENTENCE PRESENTATION FROM NARRATIVE TO EXCLAMATORY.
