SURFACE PREPARATION
APPLICATION:
Stir the part- A manually / mechanically and mix with the part – B in a specified
ratio by volume to get uniform consistency.
Brush: Apply the mixed paint without adding thinner for dilution.
Conventional Spray: Add 10 – 20 % thinner for Epoxy and mix it properly and
apply uniform coat at a pressure of 40 – 50 psi.
Airless spray: Apply the paint mixture without thinner. However, if required,
add less than 5 5 thinner and apply through appropriate equipment having the
pump ration of 30:1 with nozzle size of 0.017 to 0.019 with nozzle pressure of
120 to 160 Kg/cm2.
GALVANISED STEEL AND ALUMINIUM SURFACE
As the above surfaces have different surface chemistry, a coat of Chemoxy Etch
primer will ensure the adhesion of the primer coat.
POINTS TO NOTE:
Use the mixed paint within the stipulated time of its potlife. Hence mix only
required quantity.
Do not apply the coating when the temperature is lower than 10 °C and above
50° c and the humidity is above 85 %.
Complete curing of Epoxy will take 7 days and hence any evaluation will be done
after 7 days of curing.
