The Unlikely Weapon of Success: Your Skill

Have you ever seen a skilled stonecutter? Their tools sliding smoothly on the
stone, the you wondered, "What's in those people so they can create such
beauty?" Or maybe you've ever observed a reputable chef? Their hands are
agile and efficient, then you thought, "What makes them so successful in the
kitchen?".

Honorable judges, all participants, and everyone here today,

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

First of all, I would like to thank the Almighty God, it is because of him we’re all
able to attend this contest. Secondly, my sholawat and salam always be
delivered to our prophet Muhammad SAW who had brought us fro the
darkness to this bright modern era that we’re live in today. And last but not
least I would like to thanks the judges for giving me this very special
opportunity to compee in this contest.

Ladies and gentleman, good morning, my name is Falisha Miftah, and I’m from
tenth software engineering. On this auspicious occasion, I would like to tell you
a speech which the title is “The Unlikely Weapon of Success: Your Skills”. I hope
my speech isn't going to take too long and that you will find it interesting.

Guys, the answer of “How can a stonecutter creates such beauty?” or “How
can a chef be so successful in the kitchen?” is not magic, but it’s skill. Skill isn't
just knowing how to do something. Skill is the mastery of knowledge, the
perfection of technique, and the dedication to continuous improvement. Like a
stonecutter who anticipates shapes hidden in a stone, and like a chef who
knows the right time to make a dish to perfection.
Now, you might think, "But I'm not a stonecutter or a chef! My skills are just
the ordinary things I do every day."

However, in everyday life, you have the same great skills. The ability to
communicate effectively, think critically and solve problems, and work
collaboratively with others, these are all very valuable tools that can take you
toward success.

The great thing about skills is that skills can be learned and developed. Take a
moment to think about what you’re good at, what's your strength, and what
field do you enjoy to learn. Whether it's writing, coding, speaking in public, or
just being a good listener, sharpen your skill. Take a course, read a book, find
feedback, and most importantly, practice, practice, and practice.

Remember, the road to success is paved with stones of skill. The more you
sharpen your talents, the more doors will be opened for you, the more
opportunities you will seize, the closer you will be to achieving your dreams.

So guys, let's start this journey together. One skill at a time, towards a brighter
and more fulfilling future.

I think that’s all for my speech, I hope we can learn something from it and
enjoy it. My apologize if I had any mistakes and thank you so much for your
attention.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
