Calibration Procedure Of Pressure transmitter & Gauge

1. Required Equipment for calibrating and maintaining Pressure transmitter and Gauge

1.1 Fluke 725 Multifunctiion process Calibrator

1.2 Air supply Using Pneumatic test pump (0.8/40 bar)

1.3 Digital Multi-meter (measure AC,DC voltage and mA)

1.4 Gage pressure module(20 bar)

2. Pressure Transmitter Calibration procedure

2.1 Connect the calibrator to the instrument under test as shown in Figure Proceed as
follows:
2.1.1 Press for current (upper display). If required, press again to activate loop power.

2.1.2 Press (lower display).

2.1.3 If necessary, press for SOURCE mode.

2.1.4 Zero the pressure module.

2.1.5 Perform checks at 0 % and 100 % of span and adjust the transmitter as necessary.

2.2 Save and Record the Results

2.3 If the error is within the acceptable tolerance proceed to next step

2.4 If the Transmitter is out the acceptable tolerance, attempt to adjust the Zero

and Span of the transmitter to bring the unit back into calibration. If the unit

still does not calibrate within tolerance , then purchase a new transmitter from

the storeroom. Ckeck the new unit using the same procedure and record the

results in the after calibration points. If the new unit still does not test within

tolerance, inform the Instrument Supervisor

3. Pressure Gauge Calibration procedure

Connect the calibrator to the Gauge under test as shown in Figure Proceed as
follows:

3.1 Press for Measure mode.

Zero the pressure module.and note the gauge value must be at

3.3 Use the Pneumatic test pump to generat pressure

3.4 compare the pressure value in each gauge and calibrator

3.5 Save and Record the Results

4. Final Steps

4.1 Return all Instruments to service and make sure that they are reinstalled correctly

4.2 Fill out and place a loop calibration sticker on the instrument. The sticker should

have the calibration date , the next due date and the initials of the person

performing the calibration

4.3 Record the Results in the calibration form

4.4 Print out the corresponding Calibration Certificate for filing and provide a list of

calibrated instruments to the end user in which calibration date and due date is

stated

Calibration Procedure Of Temp. transmitter


1. Required Equipment for calibrating and maintaining Temperature Transmitter & Sensor
1.1 Fluke 725 Multifunctiion process Calibrator
1.2 Field Metroligy well Calibrator
1.3 Digital Multi-meter (measure AC,DC voltage and mA)
2. Sensore Calibration procedure
2.1 Select an insert for the Field Metroligy well with the same diameter hole as the
temperature probe in to the the hole Insert the end of the temperature probe in to
the hole. Connect the wires from probe to Temperature Calibratore used.
2.2 Set the set point of the dry block to each of the calibration points and record the
before calibration readings Make sure that the Field Metroligy well has stabilized
at each calibration point before logging the readings then Save the results
measured by multifunction calibrator used
2.3 Measuring Temperature using Fluke 725:
2.3.1 Using Thermocouple
1. Attach the thermocouple leads to the appropriate TC miniplug, then
to the TC input/output One pin is wider than the other. Do not try to
force a miniplug in the wrong polarization. Note(If the calibrator and
the thermocouple plug are at different temperatures, wait one
minute or more for the connector temperature to stabilize after you
plug the miniplug into the TC input/output.)

2. If necessary, press for MEASURE mode.


3. Press for the TC display. If desired, continue pressing this key
to select the desired thermocouple type. If necessary, you can toggle
between °C or °F temperature units by pressing

2.3.2 Using Resistance-Temperature Detectors (RTDs)

1. If necessary, press for MEASURE mode.


2. Press for the RTD display. If desired, continue pressing this key
to select the desired RTD type.
3. Press or to select a 2-, 3-, or 4- wire connection.
4. Attach the RTD to input terminals
5. If necessary, you can toggle between °C or °F temperature units by
pressing

3. Transmitter Calibration procedure


3.1 Remove the resistance temperature probe along with the transmitter and return
to the shop for calibration
3.2 Connect the calibrator to the instrument under test as shown in Figure Proceed as
follows to calibrate a transmitter

3.2.1 Press for current (upper display). If required, press again to

3.2.4 Set your zero and span parameters by pressing and keys. Enter
these parameters by pressing and holding and .
3.2.5 Perform test checks at 0-25-50-75-100 % points by pressing or
. Adjust the transmitter as necessary.

3.3 Save and Record the Results


3.4 If the error is within the acceptable tolerance proceed to next step
3.5 If the Transmitter is out the acceptable tolerance, attempt to adjust the Zero and
Span of the transmitter to bring the unit back into calibration. If the unit still does
not calibratewithin tolerance , then purchase a new transmitter from the

Calibration Procedure Of Flow Meters


1. Required Equipment for calibrating and maintaining Flow Meters
1.1 UltraFlux MiniSonic P Calibrator
1.2 Probe SE-1586
2. Flow Meter Calibration procedure
2.1 Set in the calibrator parameters the pipe diameter and its thickness & type, and
the liquid type .
2.2 The calibrator will give the D.S ,the distance between 1 &2 on the pipe as in figure
below.
2.3 Install the probe on the pipe and make the distance between 1&2 (D.S) as you get
from the calibrator.
2.4 Connect cable between probe and calibrator, and compare between the reading
on the calibrator and the Flow Meter

3. Final Steps

Calibration Procedure Of Weights Balances


1. Required Equipment for calibrating and maintaining Weights Balances
1.1 METTLER TOLEDO Weights 1mg-500mg,or
1.2 METTLER TOLEDO Weights 1g-500g,or 1Kg , 2kg,5kg
2. Weights Balances Calibration procedure
2.1 Be sure that the balance is in level .
2.2 Choose a standard Weight according the balance range.
2.3 Put the weight on the balance.
2.4 Compare between the balance reading and the standard weight you use

3. Final Steps
3.1 Return all Instruments to service and make sure that they are reinstalled correctly
3.2 Fill out and place a loop calibration sticker on the instrument. The sticker should
have the calibration date , the next due date and the initials of the person
performing the calibration

Calibration Procedure Of Conductivity meters


1. Required Equipment for calibrating and maintaining Conductivity Meters
1.1 SS Select Conductivity standard 20 or 50 or 100 ms
1.2 SS Select Conductivity standard 0.5 or 1 ms
2. Conductivity Meters Calibration procedure
2.1 Rinse the conductivity meter by water .
2.2 Choose a standard conductivity solution according to the range.
2.3 Insert the conductivity meter probe in the standard solution.
2.4 Compare between the conductivity meter reading and the standard solution you
use

3. Final Steps
3.1 Return all Instruments to service and make sure that they are reinstalled correctly
3.2 Fill out and place a loop calibration sticker on the instrument. The sticker should
have the calibration date , the next due date and the initials of the person
performing the calibration
