CRIMINAL COMPLAINT

The undersigned investigator on the case of Tanauan City Police Station, Tanauan City,
Batangas, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with the law, accuses Justin Uranza, 32
years old, married, and a resident of Brgy. 4 Tanauan City, Batangas. For direct assault
committed as follows:
At about 10:00 in the morning of August 8, 2024, at 49 Pres. J. P. Laurel Hwy., Tanauan,
4232, Batangas, in front of Total Gas Station, the complainant Pat. Paolo Caranto noticed a
vehicle blatantly disregarding a red traffic signal, endangering pedestrians crossing the street. He
signaled the accused’s vehicle to pull over to the side of the road for a traffic violation. However,
instead of complying, the accused abruptly stopped his vehicle in the middle of the intersection
and began shouting obscenities at the complainant, questioning his authority, and forcibly
pushing him multiple times, preventing him from performing his duties and creating a scene that
disrupted traffic flow and attracted the attention of bystanders.
