PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Title:
CYBERSAFE SCHOOLS PROJECT: SAFER INTERNET WEEK 2024
Theme: “Guardian Cybernetics: Safeguarding the Digital Realm”

II. Rationale:
Imelda Elementary School- Supreme Elementary Learner Government in
partnership with Stairway Foundation will have CYBERSAFE SCHOOLS PROJECT:
SAFER INTERNET WEEK 2024 with the theme: “Guardian Cybernetics:
Safeguarding the Digital Realm” pursuant to the intent of the DepEd Order No. 003,
s. 2021 otherwise known as the Creation of the Child Protection Unit and the Child
Rights in Education Desk in the Department of Education. The project aims to inform
and educate learners, teachers, parents, schools, and the community on how to
protect children from risks that come with online access such as cyberbullying, online
strangers, inappropriate content, and gaming addiction. This child online safety
project, recognizing the harm can be inflicted not only in physical ways, and in the
destruction of our infrastructure and our facilities but also through cyberspace.
III. Objectives:
a. Educate students, teachers, and parents about potential cyber threats and
the importance of practicing safe online behaviors.
b. Encourage students to understand the consequences of their online actions
and to develop responsible digital citizenship.
c. Provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to recognize and
respond to cyberbullying, game addiction, inappropriate content and other
online dangers.
d. Foster a school culture where students feel comfortable reporting cyber
incidents and seeking help when needed.
