I. INSTALL SMARTVIEW

If SmartView is already setup on your computer, you can switch this step and go directly to
the next part

SmartView is a software which allows users to access to ESSBASE and HFM data directly
from Excel. However, for ESSBASE this is the only way to access to the data.

1.1. DOWNLOAD
To download smartview, please join the WW-Global Consolidation Community on teams,
then open the folder 00 Software
You can access to this folder by clicking on the link below

The file to download is Smartview.zip

1.2. SETUP
After the download, all the flowing Office applications must be closed
- Outlook
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Excel
When all the applications are closed, the Installer can be launched

1.3. EXCEL PARAM

When all the setups steps are done, the parametrization must be made in Excel
(1) Add-ins
(2) COM Add-ins
(3) Browse

(4) Oracle Smart View for Office

(5) OK
A tab should now appear in the top of your Excel document.
II. SW CONNECTION

If SmartView is setup, a connection is needed to access to HFM data.

In SmartView tab, click on Panneau/Panel

If the SmartView tab is not existing, it could mean that SmartView is not parametrized in Excel
or not installed at all.
When Excel is bugging, it always asks you if you want to deactivate SmartView when it
relaunches even when SmartView is not responsible for the bug. If you click on YES, the tab
SmartView disappear.
