BUSINESS TV SERIES

Hi, everyone! Today, I'm glad to talk to you about some business TV series. It's a genre
that can be incredibly entertaining, and I'm eager to share a glimpse into my favorite
shows. I'm sure you'll recognize more than one.

I haven't included a table of contents for my presentation as I want to avoid giving any
spoilers.

We're going to explore how each TV series can teach us valuable (VAILABOL) lessons
about the business world, all while helping us improve our English skills. These shows
aren't just for entertainment; they're like a classroom where we can learn about the ins
and outs of the business environment.

So, without further ado, let's dive into the world of business on screen!

The first series I'm going to talk about is (CAMBIAR)

1. SILICON VALLEY

It is a fun and entertaining comedy in which you see how Richard, with hardly any
knowledge about entrepreneurship (ANTREPRENEURSIP), enters the world of
business dealing with compÉtitors, making decisions in his company, looking for
investors and many other functions of any entrepreneur. (CAMBIAR)

Lessons to take away from the series:

- Take care of professional relationships with your colleagues

- Be careful not to tell your idea to many people.
- Review the contract you sign

On the other hand…. (CAMBIAR)

2. BETTER CALL SAUL

Has anyone here watched Breaking Bad? So, you're likely familiar with Saul Goodman.

Better Call Saul is a prequel (PRICUEL) to Breaking Bad and is centered on the
character of Jimmy McGill aka (EIKEI) Saul Goodman, a lawyer. I've only watched the
first and second seasons of this series, but someday I'll finish watching it.

It's a gripping tale that unfolds the challenges, strategies, and moral dilemmas within the
business and legal landscape. (CAMBIAR)

Lessons to take away from the series:

- Look like what you want to be, not what you are.
- Know your client and connect with them

3. SUCCESSION

I'm currently watching this series, and it's absolutely amazing. It is a drama centered on
the Roy family, who control one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates
in the world.

As patriarch, Logan Roy navigates his legacy, his four scheming (SKIMING) children
engage in a high-stakes game of corporate chess. In this series, we can observe the
significance of clear communication and the importance of setting boundaries within a
family business.

For me, is like Game of Thrones, but in business. (CAMBIAR)

Insights from the show

- Collaboration Is key to Success

- Make decisions based on logic, not emotion.

And now, another series that's iIIIIIdeal for learning about business management, The
Sopranos (CAMBIAR)

4. THE SOPRANOS

The Sopranos documents the life of the biggest boss of the Italian mafia in New Jersey,
Toni Soprano, as he struggles to manage a criminal organization while leading a normal
life at home.

His day-to-day life is extortion, illegal traffic, bribery (BRAIBERI), and mob hits
causing a series of uncontrolled anxiety (ENSAIETI) attacks dealt with by his
psychiatrist whose relationship, of course, is kept a secret.

HOW Is Possible to Learn Actual Business Lessons From Sopranos? BUT YES!! Here
We Are: (CAMBIAR)

- Cash Is King
- Follow the Same Rules You Expect Others To
- Understand Your Team’s Abilities

FINALLY, the best thing I've ever seen (that's what she said) (CAMBIAR)

5. THE OFFICE
The Office is one of the best comedy business shows that has ever aired on TV. The
original version is the British, with Ricky Gervais (GERVÉS), but I prefer the
American, with Steve Carrel.

This series tells the daily life of the peculiar workers of the Dunder Mifflin company, in
a parody of American culture.

In short, the series is about everyday situations in an office, the work environment and
relationships between coworkers. Ideal for learn human resources. (CAMBIAR)

Insights from the show:

- Enjoy your work.

- It’s OK to work out of your comfort zone, and, very VERY important
- what not to do

In summary, these are some of the lessons we can learn from the series: learning
entrepreneurship, how to kickstart (COMO SUENA) a professional career, strategy,
business management (MÉNEGMENT), and human resources. If you haven't watched
any of these series, I recommend them, because you're going to love them. (CAMBIAR)

Well, this is all for today. I've enjoyed talking about TV series with all of you. Thank
you!!!
