The Eriez Ceramic Magnetic Trap
has been designed to optimise iron
removal from ceramic slurries.
The unique Ceramic Trap is part of
an extensive range of magnetic
equipment that Eriez supplies to the
ceramics industry.

Features
● The Ceramic Trap is designed to
remove fine and coarse iron from
ceramic glaze.
● The design enables the separation
of tramp iron, fine iron and
stainless steel that has been
introduced from the abrasion of
process equipment.
● The system incorporates high
intensity, Rare Earth magnetic
tubes in a unique configuration.
The Rare Earth magnetic tubes
have magnetic field readings of
between 9,000 to 10,500 Gauss.
● Five, ten and twenty tube models
available depending on throughput
requirements.
● The unique design allows ceramic
material to be gravity fed from the
top or pumped up from the bottom.
● Can be installed at many locations:
- prior to spray drier

- prior to glaze spraying.
● The units are being used
extensively throughout Europe.

Tube Magnet Pull Analysis Benefits

● By improving the removal of iron, the
number of product rejects is reduced.
● The Ceramic Trap is proven to provide
better iron separation than systems
such as standard magnetic traps and
small electromagnetic filters.
● Despite enhanced separation, the
cost of the Ceramic trap is lower than
standard systems.
