Gordon A. A. Wilson is a retired military and commercial pilot. He flew with the Canadian air forces 414 Electronic Warfare Squadron, flying
target aircraft on secret missions to test the defences of North America and as a test pilot. He subsequently flew for thirty years for a major
airline and since retiring has worked as a ground school instructor for Air Canada and as an aviation consultant writing standard operating
procedures manuals. His other books include NORAD and the Soviet Nuclear Threat. He lives in British Columbia, Canada.

I bought this book for a friends birthday. He loves Lancaster Bombers. Like really loves
them. I think it reminds him of the good old days. But to be fair, however bad things are at
the moment it has to be better than actually being at war. Even though we may be on the
verge of a civil war. That has yet to start. He is also not that old so it’s not like he flew one or
anything.
Anyway, he now has a manual for a Lancaster Bomber. I couldn’t afford an actual plane so
not sure what use he’ll get out of it. He seemed happy enough at the time.

It has everything about the aircraft history,operational notes and technical details as issued
by the Air Ministry of 1943.

It even contains a copy of 2 navigators logbooks and training course notes.

I feel this book should be referred to as the Lancaster Reference Manual.
