Guidelines for students regarding how to prepare for (IBDP/BSSEI) in the subject of
Mathematics to score good marks:
1. Be honest, prayerful and fearless to stand tall in life. Because in this competitive life
there is always a vacancy of honesty.
2. Students must ensure that you have done complete revision of mathematics syllabus before the
final examination.
3. Students are requested to prepare an authentic timetable for revising the required syllabus
along with class and hence should do proper revision of each and every topic.
4. A habit of doing mathematics everyday can help you to build on the discussed topics in the
class.
5. Students should ask questions frequently and frankly.
6. Mathematics is all about thorough revision with understanding of the concepts and procedures
taught. Students should pick up pen or pencil and start solving Mathematics questions.
7. Students should solve last five -year papers in examination style so that they should learn time
management skills and pattern and style of the questions.
8. Above all a balanced approach (Health+ Studies+ Other activities) can also be helpful for
excellent results.
9. Students should know how to identify, select and apply relevant mathematical strategies in
solving simple as well as complex mathematical problems.
10. Students should strive to be independent learners of mathematics, though teachers, parents and
books support is always there.
11. For all types of revision, a copy of syllabus should be kept on table with minute details of the
subtopics. Hence all contents of the subtopic should be discussed and revised multiple-times.

12. Thinking that I shall revise and study near the exam time which could be very fatal for their
overall performance. So, it should be avoided.
13. Not solving questions on roughly on paper and trying to solve them mentally without
producing the required workings may lead to penalty of marks
14. Indulgence in gossips and gadgets should be minimized or stopped during the classroom
explanations.
15. More mistakes while doing rough work definitely leads to fewer or no mistakes in examination
papers. So do more rough work.
16. A balanced approach means balanced diet, a balance of leisure activities, yoga with empty
stomach, breathing exercises, lots of water and no to sugary and unhealthy food intakes.
17. Judicious use of every second of time is very important, so students must use every second
authentically.
18. Judicious use of classroom time is always indicator of good time managers.
