Do not fasten off yet – we will now split the bottom of the body into 2 legs
FIRST LEG
R27: dc 2, dec x 3, dc 2 (7), skip the remaining 14 stitches, work next round in these 7 sts
only

Fasten off. Weave in loose end by inserting darning needle in the back loop of each st and
pull tight to close the hole.
SECOND LEG
R27: Going back to the 14 unworked sts, skip the first 2 sts and attach the yarn to the 3rd
unworked st, leave a long tail at the start as we will use this to sew together the middle of
the legs, dc in the same st, dc in the next st, dec x 3, dc 2 (7), skip the last 2 sts of the round
in these 7 sts only

Fasten off. Weave in loose end by inserting darning needle in the back loop of each st and
pull tight to close the holeStuff the remaining body if needed, and then use the long tail at
the start of the second leg to sew together the 4 unworked stitches (2 at the front and 2 at the
back).
Make 8

Fasten of and leave a long end to sew the piece onto body.
Pin all 8 pieces along the unworked front loops of R18 of the body. Once pinned evenly
around, sew into place.
NOSE
Yarn: Fondant

Fasten of and leave a long end to sew the piece between safety eyes.
BUTTON

ARMS

Make 1ch4 – we will be working around the chains to make an oval shape.
Round 1: inc in second ch from hook, inc in the next two chains. Continue to the other side
of the chains: inc in the three chains (12)

Fasten of and leave a long end to sew the piece onto the back of the head, and stuff lightly.
SIDES OF HEADPIECE
Make 2
Fasten of and leave a long end to sew the piece the two pieces on each side of the head
noting that the area with the decreases of the last round should be facing downwards, and
stuff lightly.

Fasten of and leave a long end to sew the piece onto the top of the headpiece, and stuff

Fasten off. Weave in loose end by inserting darning needle in the front loop of each st and
pull tight to close the hole. Sew onto tip of headpiece.
