The pupils will walkthrough of the lesson expectations.

At the end of the lesson the pupils are expected to:

1. Identify tools in making simple electrical gadgets.
2. Construct simple electrical gadgets.
B. Motivation “Show a picture of hand tool”

Ask the pupils the following questions:

1. Can you identify the name of the tool in the picture presented?
2. What do you think is the function of the tool?
3. Can you use it at home, school and or community?

Electrical – materials related to electricity or produce electricity.

Gadgets - a small device with a practical use, can be electrical or

electronic device.

Insulation – to separate two conducting bodies by means of non-

conductor or insulator.

Stripping – to remove covering of electric wire.

E. Discussion Divide the class into two groups, ask them to have their leader, secretary
and presenter.

Each group will be given pictures of different tools and a separate sheet
of their functions. They are going to match it and paste in the manila
paper.

The presenter will then present it to the class.

The tools needed in constructing simple electrical gadgets are the

following:

2. wire stripper

G. Application Since the class is already dived into two groups, allow them to construct
simple electric gadget (extension cord) using the tools and materials
provided.

Remind the pupils to be very careful with the sharp objects that they
will be using.

Group Performance Task

Each group will be given materials for the construction

Tools are also provided for them.
They will be given a printed procedure to follow.
They will construct a functional extension cord.
Allow the pupils to test their output.

After the construction and testing ask the pupils the following questions:

1. How did you start your construction?

2. what difficulties did you encounter in constructing the simple
electrical gadget?
3. Why identifying tools needed is important?
4. Discuss the importance of knowledge in constructing simple
electronic gadget.
