Machinery – Walking-type Agricultural Tractor – Specifications Part 1 : Pull-type

The PAES 109 is all about the requirements for walking type agricultural tractor
which is classified as a pull-type. In definition, walking-type agricultural tractor is a
pedestrian tractor self-propelled machine having a single axle designed primarily to pull
and propel trailed or mounted agricultural implements and machinery. A pull type WTAT
is capable of pulling various kinds of implements. The basic parts of a pull type WTAT is
composed of engine, engine pulley, engine mounting frame, idler pulley, stand
assembly, belt guard, input shaft pulley, handle bar adjustment, hitch assembly,
transmission assembly, mud guard, axle, cage wheel, main clutch lever, throttle lever,
and hand grip. The main clutch lever is used to engage or disengage the drive train
from the engine. The throttle lever is used to control the speed of the tractor.
The tractor shall be made of steel and metals because of its rigid operations. It is
also indicated on this standard that the peak transmission efficiency of the tractor must
be at least 85%. The noise emitted by the tractor shall not be more that 92 db (A). The
tractor must also be free from manufacturing defects, any uncoated metallic surfaces
and sharp edges that may cause harm to the operator.
Walking type agricultural tractor is very convenient to use specially if you are
operating in a medium sized farmland. This pull-type WTAT specifically made to pull
implements and very useful especially in soil tilling and also in other uses with the help
of other type of implements. This type of tractor is small yet can do lots of works with
ease.
Lastly, according to this standard, the tractor must have a belt guard, mud
guard, rubber hand grip, mechanism for transmission (main clutch lever), handle bar
adjustment, and agricultural rubber tires to ensure the safety of the operator. Each
tractor shall be provided with basic tools such as open wrenches, Philips and flat screw
driver, and an adjustable wrench. It is also included on this standard about the
warranty of the parts and materials of the tractor. The tractor must also include
marking and labeling that show the manufacturer registered trademark, name and
address of the manufacturer, brand, model, serial number and even
safety/precautionary markings. This standard ensure that the tractors are safe, reliable,
and compliant with regulations, ultimately contributing to improved efficiency and
effectiveness in agricultural operations.
