What future employment are you considering: ______________________________________
I understand that a course contribution totaling approximately $ _______ will be required for this
course.
This sheet must be filled in and returned to the Form Teacher no later than Friday 13 October
2023.
Students not intending to return to Taieri College must also complete the form by ticking the
appropriate box and having it signed.
While subject choice at this stage of the year is not binding, the number of classes, and staff
allocation, are based on this return, and therefore this should be filled in as accurately as
possible. Any changes that are necessary after this intention sheet is returned can be made
only with the approval of the Year 12 Dean. Students should bring a signed note requesting the
change, and give it to their form teacher to pass on to the Dean.
In 2024 Year 12 students are required to do a Level 1 or Level 2 English course, and five other
subjects.
Students are recommended to maintain a broad education. Most students stay on to Year 13
and must take care in choosing subjects that will fit into a future course.
There are specific requirements for entry to University and some other Tertiary courses. Check
these out before course selection.
A booklet provided to all students contains information on all subjects available. Note that, in
general, subjects only operate where there are sufficient students choosing that subject.
To assist students in making option choices we have held special assemblies this week and
encourage you to make an appointment with Senior Staff on either Tuesday 10 or Wednesday
11 October 2023 from 3.30pm to 7.00pm to discuss the course selection. This is done through
the website www.schoolinterviews.co.nz using the code: 3255c
Mr Jarrad Waldron (Assistant Principal) is the contact person in the college in the case of
hardship. Automatic payments are encouraged as an option.
