I. OBJECTIVES
3. Give value to learning the digital representation of binary codes and apply
it to real life scenarios.
A. Content The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and underlying
Standards principles in performing measurements and calculations
B. Performance The learners shall be able to accurately measure and calculate based on
Standards a given tasks
LO 2. Carry out measurements and calculation.

IV.PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing GUESS WHAT PAPER BALL ACTIVITY
previous lesson
or presenting a
new lesson

A recap of the past lesson will be done through a guess what activity in the
form of a paper ball. Each layer of paper ball has a descriptive statement
which the holder identifies, once the learner answers the question correctly,
he/she will pass the paper ball to a classmate of his/her choice to do the next
recap. The activity ends once all the statements in the paper ball have been
identified.

B. Establishing a TESTING
purpose for the
lesson
The word EQUIVALENT will be shown to the class. They will be asked to
give a similar term for it. Once examples are given, relate the term to the
lesson that will be discussed.
(counterpart, parallel, alternative, match, complement)
C. Presenting COUNTERPARTS
examples/ The students will be asked to convert the given binary number states into its
instances of the base 10 decimal number format.

E. Discussing new The learners will be grouped accordingly and will be given a binary coding
worksheet to crack. The first three teams to crack the given binary coding
concepts and
worksheet will be given a reward.
practicing new
skills #2 The teacher will then present the binary equivalents of the letters and/or
symbols used in performing computer operations.
F. Developing DECODE
Mastery

A special message for the learners will be flashed on the screen. They will be
asked to decode it using their learnings from the discussion done.
