Title:
Pattern making of sleeves (Knitted and Woven) using TukaTech/GGT

Objectives:
The following are the main objectives of this lab;
 To learn the basics of AccuMark Software
 To develop a Pattern knitted and Woven sleeves

Introduction:
CAD programs are an essential tool for fashion designing, garment manufacturers
export houses, etc. with functions such as pattern-making virtual tests, fitting, pattern grading,
marker making, etc garment makers have been able to reduce production time many folds by
using a CAD system. To design garments, textiles, machines, layouts, and architectural
structures.
Gerber Technology provides hardware and software systems to automate and manage
the product design and manufacturing process with CAD software for pattern design,
automated material spreading systems, and computer-controlled cutting systems.
AccuMark from Gerber Technology is an intelligent pattern design software system
for the apparel and fashion industry. On Gerber Technology’s innovative AccuMark software
to design, develop and market their products as quickly and efficiently as possible the gold
standard for intelligent pattern design, grading, marker making, and production planning. The
latest version of AccuMark offers several new features that will streamline designs which
ensures a high and precise measurement and patterns.
With AccuMark you can now consolidate fabric colorway data into one model, easily update
artwork changes across multiple models, and quickly identify marker information for digital
printing, allowing for a truly efficient process. Following are some latest features of
AccuMark
 Maximizing efficiency
 Reduce development time
 Streamline your creativity
 Handle grading with ease
 Enhance communication with colorways
 Compare your results online
 Handle color setting to test out
 Work smarter & faster

Equipment:
 Computer System
 AccuMark Software
 Measuring tape

Measurements:
Table 1; Measurement’s

Sleeve type Length Width

Woven/ full 64cm 20cm

Knitted/half 26cm 20cm
Procedure:
 In this lab, first I launched the Gerber AccuMark 8.4 software on the computer.
 After launching, open AccuMark Explorer to create a storage area for starting a new
pattern. Some files are already by default present in the folder.
 Then create the rule table in alphanumeric values of S, M, L, and XL.
 After this, I open the pattern design system (PDS) from the token
button. Woven/ full sleeve:
 For the full sleeve pattern, I take the maximum length and width of the sleeve (W 20cm &
L 64cm).
 Then the top of the screen clicks on the piece and then the creative piece then select
rectangle.
 On the right segment of the screen, put values of length and width.
 Then take the offset -11cm to draw the top slope line of the sleeve.
 After this I select the line then the creative line and then the point curve line to draw the
armhole curve.
 At the end, I saved the pattern for further use.

Knitted/ Half sleeve:

 For the half-sleeve knitted pattern, I take the maximum length and width of the sleeve (W
20cm & L 26cm).
 Then the top of the screen clicks on the piece and then the creative piece then select
rectangle.
 On the right segment of the screen, put values of length 26cm and width 20cm.
 Then take the offset -11cm to draw the top slope line of the sleeve.
 After this I select the line then the creative line and then the two-point curve line to draw
the armhole curve.
 At the end, I saved the pattern for further use.

Conclusion:
I concluded through this experiment how to start AccuMark software and how to
create a rule table of numeric and alphanumeric values. Then I learned how to save the file in
Explorer. I learned how to draw the pattern of full/half sleeves digitally using GGT
AccuMark software on a computer system. I also learned how to draw curves and slopes in
sleeve patterns. I also learned how to save pattern in the storage device.
