DAY OF PRAYER 2022

SELAH AG
• Dedicate at least a half-day to pray.
• It will be good for the groups to start together with a time of common
prayer to pray for the Holy Spirit's presence.
CHOOSING TO TRUST

• Come prepared with your 2021 prayer journal to serve as an aid in

remembering the events of the year. What happened/did not happen as
planned is key in this reflection guide.
• Have Bible, journal, and pen ready for quiet time alone.
• After personal reflection, gather together in order to share the product of
your prayer. Share plans in order to support each other and pray for each
other. A
1. Let us reflect on this beautiful verse from the
book of Psalms as another year ends and an-
other year begins: Psalm 84:11-12 (ESV),

11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord

bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold from those who
walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in you!”
Take the time to think about your
experiences in 2021. How was God a
sun and shield for you throughout the
year? Have there been any blessings
in disguise — petitions unanswered
perhaps that turned out for good?
.
Consider yourself as the recipient of these
blessings, even of those blessings
seemingly withheld. There may have been
undeserved blessings too, some you didn’t
even ask for. Think about your reflex
reactions. How did you respond?
The passage further reads,“…No good
thing does he withhold from those who
walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed
is the one who trusts in you!”

What do these words mean to you at

this time? In what areas of your life
are you invited to make changes? In
what areas of your life are you invited
to TRUST more?
What are your plans for 2022? (Indicate your
plans for yourself, your family, work. service, etc.)

Make a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord and

ask for the grace to see your plans through. Let
us gather again next week same time and share
our plans with our Selah siss so that we can
support each other with prayers and
encouragement.
