TRIGONOMETRY

SYNOPSIS

The word trigonometry is derived from the Trigonometrical ratios for any angle consider
Greek words 'trignon' and 'metron'. The word a standard unit circle P (x,, y) is a point on the
trignon means a triangle and the word metron circle, then
means measure.

Periodicity of Trigonometric Functions

A function is said to be a periodic function if
there exist a constant p such that f (x + p) - f (r),
p > 0 for all r in the domain.
