Corrosion Of Petroleum Industry Essay
1. Abstract:
Corrosion is a destructive attack of a material by reaction with its environment and a
natural potential hazard associated with oil and gas production and transportation
facilities. This material degradation results in the loss of mechanical properties like
strength, ductility, impact strength and so on.
In order to ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow of oil and gas to the end users it is
imperative for the field operators, pipeline engineers and designers to be corrosion
conscious as the lines and their component fittings would undergo material degradation
due to corrosion.
2. Introduction:
Petroleum is naturally occurring yellow to black liquid found in geological formation
beneath the earth surface which is then refined to get various fuels as petrol, diesel etc. It
is derived from a Latin word Petra which means rock and oleum which means oil.
Petroleum is generated in a source rock from which it migrates through a permeable and
porous medium called the reservoir where it gets trapped by structures namely fault or
cap rock. In present scenario, no doubt petroleum industry is governing world s economy.
The petroleum industry includes the processes of exploration, extraction, refining,
transporting and marketing petroleum products. The industry is divided into three major
streams which are upstream, midstream and downstream. Upstream mainly includes
exploration and production of oil wells. Gathering, processing/refining, transportation and
storage
Taylor Swift Rhetorical Analysis
Everyone can relate to at least one Taylor Swift song. Whether you relate it to another
person in your life, current world issues, or even your pet. She has written numerous
songs that people of various ages can relate to. This is only one of the countless reasons
that Taylor Swift is one of my favorite artists.
Taylor Swift s music is one of my passions; the other is politics. Having two passions is
vast, but combining my two passions is even better. Being able to relate to so many
songs that Swift has written, I have also been able to relate them to many of the
presidential candidates that want to be America s next president. From Carly Fiorina to
Ted Cruz to Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump, everyone in politics has that one Taylor ...

Taylor Swift s song, Dear John , has Ted Cruz written all over it. When Speaker of the
House, John Boehner, was asked about Cruz s campaign, Boehner simply replied with
putting his middle finger up. After hearing about this incident, it did get me to wondering
if Swift had actually written this song for Ted Cruz.
Next, we have the other woman who is running for the presidency, Hillary Clinton. This
is not the first time we have heard Hillary Clinton s name. She was the First Lady for
eight years and the Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. In saying all of this, the only
Taylor Swift song that could accurately represent Clinton would be We Are Never Ever
Getting Back Together. We have seen Clinton as First Lady and Secretary of State, we
do not want to see her as President.
In contrast to Hillary Clinton, there is Donald Trump, who is not a politician. Trump
is a real estate mogul, but has entered the presidential race in full swing and means
serious business. If Donald Trump was represented by a Taylor Swift song, he would
be Shake It Off. Trump has taken many blows from the media and the candidates
running against him. With hearing these vile remarks, Trump has been able to shake it
off and shake right into being the leading GOP candidate. Who knows, maybe Donald
Trump will be shaking it off all the way into the White

of the main causes of disability. No matter what race, age, or gender everyone with this
mental illness is affected in the same way. There are several factors that cause disability
in everyday life. For example, seeing or imagining things that don t exist, hearing voices,
feeling threatened by people or things, etc. This literature review is going to discuss how
patients are diagnosed, how they act in everyday life, how their personality traits are and
family involvement/compliance in the treatments. There are several studies done to

Patients that are diagnosed with Schizophrenia have a hard time participating in everyday
activities, just like the previous article had discussed, patients avoid and withdraw
themselves from situations and everyday life activities. Normally, others have abilities to
think, behave, be motivated and do physical tasks but a patient diagnosed with
schizophrenia would have a weakened, low ability to do these things. In the article
Participation in daily life of people with Schizophrenia in comparison to the general
population (Easterbrook, Jarus, Kotler Lipskaya Velikovsky, 2016), there was a cross
sectional study conducted between those with Schizophrenia and those without
Schizophrenia. The purpose of this study was to see if patients diagnosed with
Schizophrenia participate in everyday life differently than those without it.
This study consisted of about 70 patients diagnosed with the illness and 70 other
people who were completely healthy. The patients with schizophrenia lived with
family and were single and unemployed while the healthy group had families of their
own and were employed. The group of patients lived with Schizophrenia for about 10
years who were diagnosed in their 20s. About 47% of these patients were hospitalized 1
3 times and the rest were hospitalized over 4 times. This study was done 6 months after
the patients were discharged so none of the
What Are The Similarities Between New Zealand And The Us
New Zealand/USA Compare and Contrast
There are many similarities and differences between the United States (U.S.) and New
Zealand that make them unique. The U.S. has people from all around the world
Including people from New Zealand. There is an abundance of jobs and opportunities
for people who live there. They have freedom and liberty. This gives them rights that
citizens of many other countries don t have. They also have the right to vote for laws as
well as political figures they want in office. Although the U.S. has some amazing
qualities, New Zealand has many of the same Ideals, as well as several differences, but
regardless both countries are amazing places. New Zealand and the U.S. are similar in
many ways. For example, both the U.S. and New Zealand have three branches of their
government. Those branches are the Judicial Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the
Executive branch. The citizens of both countries can vote on their government. Both
countries also have a constitution and a cabinet. They both were ruled by Britain at one
point, but gained their independence. These countries are very similar to each other. But

but New Zealand is a Parliament. These are two very similar types of government but
a Parliament takes some aspects from a monarchy and combine them with some from a
democracy. New Zealand does not have a president, they have a prime minister. In the

Parliament, and the legislative branch of the Parliament assigns a prime minister. New
Zealand also does not have states. They did used to have provinces, but they scraped in

Donna Tartt s The Goldfinch
The story in the novel The Goldfinch, written by Donna Tartt, begins even before Tartt s
writing begins. Upon opening the novel, the first sentence present is a quote by Albert
Camus, stating, The absurd does not liberate, it binds . Even before beginning this novel,
the meaning of this quote shines through: the peculiar things that happen in life are what
bring people together, fate is not necessarily a punishment. This beginning quote
foreshadows the start of the story, as the protagonist quickly learns that his world did not
end just because his mother s did. At the beginning of the novel, the protagonist, Theo
Decker is introduced in his hotel room in Amsterdam, feeling lonesome and miserable.
Shortly after the introduction, the point... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

children, Andy, as a luckless, anemic, pet shop mouse you might feed to your boa

humour to express his feelings about Andy. Before, when Theo and Boris were not
friends, Theo kept to himself and did not express any emotion; however around Boris,
Theo is finding a way to express his emotions, although in a sadistic and sarcastic
The Importance Of The US Citizenship In The United States
The US is among the countries where the immigrants have the hardest time in becoming
the citizens. Since the beginning of the year 2000, immigrants have been encountering a
complicated process of the US citizenship and a permanent residency. Terrorism has often
affected the country over the years, making the government extra careful when accepting
and registering individuals for the US citizenship. Establishment of permanent residency
in the US is almost impossible especially when a person is coming to the US on grounds
other than through an approved job or through their families who are the citizens of the
U.S. Therefore; the immigrants are not usually granted the citizenship in the US so often
(Motomura, 16).
The U.S. government system considers and grants citizenship on special condition
among the immigrants. The people who seek refuge or asylum status have a special
condition of having their needs met by the government. Besides, there is a lottery that
other people may apply. People who follow these routes of the special citizenship
qualifications may not know how difficult or impossible it could be to become a citizen
and acquire the residency in the United States. Nevertheless, all that the immigrants will
need to do to obtain the citizenship will be winning in the lottery application where they
will make an application and follow the given procedure towards a grant of their
citizenship. However, there is the requirement that the immigrant has to know the
