INTRODUCTION
Demonstration is a teaching method used by both large and small groups. It
entails using experiments to demonstrate clear examples. The act of teaching or
imparting knowledge is something the instructor undertakes. In general, teaching
demonstration happens when students struggle to relate theories to real-world
situations because they don't grasp how to apply ideas. The teacher's role in this
practice is to serve as a facilitator and ensure that it is official and continuing and done
at a school or other location where formal education is provided. For improved teaching,
it's also important to use verbalization and visualization during teaching.
Student teaching is a fundamental stage of the teaching career during
undergraduate studies. It is the most important stage of the teacher education program,
during which the prospective teacher applies the knowledge, skills, abilities, and
strategies learned in the classroom in real-world situations. The student teaching
experience provides pre-service teachers the space and opportunity to learn how to ask
important questions about teaching and learning, come to know children and students
by observing and interacting with them consistently over time, apply newly acquired
knowledge, theories, strategies and models in a variety of contexts within and across
classrooms, and experiment with, design and adapt practice according to learners'
needs.
During this period, adjustment is craved for it requires a wider understanding,
patience and a deeper appreciation of the teaching process. Wonders are discovered,
hardships are overcome and courage is developed.
NARRATIVE REPORT

Education plays a big role in the society, it makes the new generation equipped
to face the battle of life that makes them happy, prosperous and satisfied in living.
Teachers, as one of the stake holders in education, transfer the knowledge to the
students that bare fruits like wisdom, skills and values.
On January 20, 2023, Friday, we are about to conduct our teaching
demonstration at Pangasinan School of Arts and Trades at exactly 12 o'clock in the
afternoon, we need to be early in the school even the demonstration will start at 1
o'clock in the afternoon for us to prepare the materials we will use in teaching
demonstration like the television for our power point presentation, various instructional
materials as well as the rewards and foods for the student’s participation and teachers
as a sign of appreciation in accommodating our group to conduct teaching
demonstration in their school.
Honestly speaking, we can say that the time of our preparation for demonstration
teaching is very limited because from the very first step, our lesson planning it almost
consumed a lot of time because we need to think more and new teaching styles.
Actually, we almost consumed two days for our preparation, the first day is for lesson
planning and the other day is for making instructional materials. We prefer to use the
combination of traditional and Educational Technology because even we know the fact
that traditional is effective to use for teaching, we also consider the time that will be
consumed in posting the different materials on the board.
The same as what we have always witnessed in daily teachings, of course
greetings, classroom management and checking of attendance is what we considered
first because we know that it is really important. Afterwards, we asked the students what
they learned in our previous lesson, they actually understand and actively participate in
our drills and practice. Moreover, we move to our prepared motivation, prefer to ask for
5 volunteers who will going to do the activity, that we called “word-hunt” and the task
that we have given to them, we used a set of words that they are going to find and
encircle inside the box and then after finishing the task we ask some questions that
related to the activity were the students can connect their thoughts and ideas. After that
proceed to the discussion of the topic entitled; Mga Sinaunang Kabihasnang
Mesopotamia sa Kanlurang Asya, we used power point to present important points of
the topic as well as an entertaining video clip. We can say that there is interaction
happened inside the class because they are all active listeners that's why in all our
questions they are not bothering to answer and we are quiet surprise in their active
participation as well as their responsiveness in the teaching-learning process.
Furthermore, we provided various activities or tasks where they could show off their
knowledge, skills, and ability to create a concept map where each person's intellect is
developed and ability to apply the lesson in daily life as well as to apply in a real-world
scenario and then, we provided a brief evaluation to see how well they understood and
learned from the discussion.
Finally, the whole session went well, we are glad because the students are
cooperative during our demonstration, know that this is just the beginning on becoming
an effective teacher. We know that we have some flaws that need improvements and
we accept it because it can serve as motivation to improve our teaching strategies and
styles for addressing the learner's need. In general, we had discovered that the success
of a teaching demonstration depends heavily on the collaboration of each group
member. Your enthusiasm to instruct your students gives you the impression that it is
simple and easy. This kind of requirement enables a student of education to be aware
of the real situation and learn how to handle the problems that may arise in the
teaching-learning process after knowing all the underlying ideas and philosophies.
"Teaching is the noblest profession of all". Indeed, it is not easy to teach students
but if you have the passion in teaching you can be a hero in this modern world. As an
aspirant teachers, we must have a big heart and showcase our passion in the field of
teaching because God will do the rest.

REFLECTION
Teachers are the model of students. Students pay attention to them, do as they
are told, and perhaps obey them more than their parents. Teachers should be models of
virtue for their students. They need to set a positive example for the students who are
watching them by living what they teach. People in their immediate vicinity and the
community are watching them closely. They must therefore adhere to the standards and
behaviors of a competent teacher.
As future teachers, we must develop lesson plans that are appropriate for the
learners' level, needs, interests, teaching situations, and the teachers' understanding of
how learners learn best, as well as the time and resources available. Lesson planning is
essential in the lives of teachers because it allows them to conduct lessons in an orderly
manner and allows students to know what they will learn and how it will fit into their
needs.
We discovered that mastering the lesson and being prepared for it is a huge help
in delivering the lesson properly because the learners will clearly understand the
teaching and learning process. We also learned that classroom management is one of
the most important aspects of teaching; setting the rules and regulations in the
classroom before beginning the lesson is essential, as is managing the behavior of the
students so that they listen attentively to the lesson so that they will not show disruptive
behavior in the class.
During our demonstration teaching, our students taught us some invaluable
lessons. The lessons were applicable for us to learn from, and when taken together,
they have helped us think more clearly about what we want our students to know and
do, as well as who we want them to become. These are the lessons that have helped us
become better student teachers.
Learning is experiential, so rather than relying solely on what the textbooks say,
we relate our lessons to real-life situations; this is because it is important for learners to
be able to apply what they learn in real-life situations, which will provide them with a
better understanding and learning. Furthermore, we learned that what we feel will be
seen in our actions, so before facing the class, we should calm down and enjoy what we
are doing.
A teacher is a dignified person, we learned that we should always be well-
groomed and neatly dressed. We realized that becoming a teacher is a difficult task.
Teachers will shape students' knowledge, behavior, and communication skills, as well
as shape them into good individuals capable of achieving their life goals. Teachers do
their best to motivate students to learn by motivating them to learn. A good teacher can
inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning, making teaching the
noblest profession there is.
Lastly, we felt relieved, contented, and happy after the demonstration lessons.
We were relieved because we had "made it!" We had overcome our fears. We must
connect with ourselves, our materials, our feelings or responses to our materials, how
we want our students to feel, and how we want to connect with their hearts and minds.
We were delighted because we knew and believed that we had done our part by doing
our best to impart and share ideas with our students. We encouraged our students to
improve their skills. We did everything we could to make them feel at ease while
learning. And we truly believed in the students' ability to succeed, and we are committed
to assisting them in achieving their goals. Finally, we were happy because we could see
it on the faces of our students. We had thoroughly enjoyed the class. They are all very
engaged and took part in all of the classroom activities. "We are happy because our
students are happy."
