WELCOME TO RWSI
We provide carefully thought-out and closely monitored programs for kids in
nursery school through kindergarten at Racham Wilbeth School Inc. (RWSI). The
dynamic learning environment that our school offers fosters innate curiosity and
pushes students to take on challenges that help them learn new skills.

To ensure a commitment to high-quality education, our preschool programs

have been meticulously modified to satisfy the strict requirements imposed by
the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Our devoted
teachers and staff strive hard to assure the meticulous execution of high-quality
education, and we have consistently improved our teaching techniques with the
important help of our partners.

Our main objectives as a Christian school are to develop young students' self-
discipline, establish autonomous learning habits, and instill values in their daily
lives. Our programs are unique and ensure that your child will not only learn
academically but also acquire a unique outlook on life. We take great delight in
them.

Our goal is to establish a learning atmosphere that fosters holistic growth,

equipping our pupils for a prosperous and meaningful future. We are grateful
that you have trusted us with your child's education. We are excited to start this
rewarding adventure together.

MISSION
Our mission is to shape young minds to their fullest potential, guiding them to
appreciate and prioritize the world around them, while instilling accessible
Christian values that are inclusive for all.

VISION
Our vision at Racham Wilbeth School Inc. is to provide an excellent and holistic
education that nurtures the hearts and minds of our students, prepares them for
the challenges of the future, and inspires them to make a positive impact in their
communities and the world.

2
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our goal at Racham Wilbeth School, Inc. (RWSI) is to foster an environment for
learning that goes beyond traditional limits. Our philosophy, which is based on our
commitment to provide every child entrusted to our care a thorough and caring
educational experience, is based on several important ideas.
Since we acknowledge that education goes beyond textbooks, our
primary tenet is the pursuit of holistic growth. Our goal at RWSI is
to support each student's physical, social, emotional, and cerebral
growth. Our curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to shape well-
rounded people, giving them the values and abilities necessary for
success in a world that is changing all the time.

Our second concept, which emphasizes child-centered learning, is

centered on valuing each child's uniqueness. We make an effort to
recognize and accommodate each person's preferences, needs,
and learning styles. We think every kid can realize their greatest
potential if we value and appreciate their unique characteristics.

Our third principle, Quality Preschool Education, is committed to

offering the best possible preschool education. Following the
requirements established by the Department of Education and
Early Childhood Development, RWSI provides a foundational
education that gives kids the know-how and abilities they need to
succeed in their future academic endeavors.

Christian Values Integration is at the center of our fourth premise

as a Christian institution. Our goal is to imbue our pupils with moral
and ethical principles, assisting them in cultivating their spiritual
selves, encouraging reverence, establishing a fear of God, and
encouraging compliance with divine directives.

We place a high value on working together with guardians,

parents, and the larger community. Partnering and Continuous
Improvement make up our fifth pillar. We guarantee a helpful and
stimulating learning environment by forming strategic alliances
and maintaining open lines of communication. RWSI is committed
to ongoing development, modifying curricula and activities to fit
the changing requirements of our students and the changing
nature of education.

The last of our tenets is Building Independent Thinkers. By means

of distinctive programs that foster critical thinking, creativity, and
autonomous viewpoints, our goal is to build young learners who
will not only achieve academic excellence but also cultivate a
strong sense of self, purpose, and a lifetime love of learning.

SCHOOL CALENDAR OF
ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOL
YEAR 2024 - 2025

Our School Calendar of Activities for the academic year 2024-2025

are thoughtfully designed to provide a dynamic and enriching
educational experience for our students. It is aligned with DEPED
Order 022 series of 2023. (See Annex A: Monthly School Calendar of
Activities for School Year 2024-2025.)

CLASS PROGRAM

Our class program complies with the regulations stated in DEPED

Order 47 Series of 2016, guaranteeing that the requirements
established by the Department of Education are met by our
instructional strategy. This connection ensures that our teaching
program is in line with the DEPED-established educational
guidelines for our students' whole development, in addition to
being engaging and enriching. (See Annex B: RWSI Class Program)

OUR CURRICULUM
The curriculum at our institution, developed collaboratively by MMP
staff and on-call consultants from the University of the Philippines,
aligns with the guidelines set by DEPED Order 47, series of 2016.
Following an integrated approach, it employs strategies such as
learning at activity centers/corners and conceptual organization.
The curriculum is structured around four major themes,
corresponding to the four quarters of the school year. Each theme
is further divided into

7
two-week units and sub-units, providing a detailed presentation of
concepts and skills, with identified objectives for each scope.

The curriculum adheres to the following outlines:

Verse
Incorporating a biblical text to emphasize precepts.

Objectives
Outlining attainable learning goals to guide teachers in identifying
learning gaps and pupils' abilities.

Concepts and Skills

Providing teachers with specific areas of focus and observable
applications of learning, without prescribing specific items.

Learning Activities
Utilizing various multi-sensorial approaches to cater to children's
nature of learning. Each learning activity includes a title, materials,
procedures, guide questions, variation suggestions, and integrated
approach suggestions.

Worksheets
A set of activity sheets intended to validate learning, to be selected
selectively. Worksheets follow the flow of concepts and skills
outlined in the curriculum guide and are categorized by codes
indicating difficulty levels.

Level
The curriculum is divided into three levels (Preparatory, Kinder, and
Nursery) to guide teachers in setting boundaries of coverage while
allowing for flexibility to accommodate the varying potential of
students.

8
STAFF QUALIFICATIONS
Racham Wilbeth School Inc. upholds high standards and complies
with the requisite qualifications set by DepEd. We ensure that our
teachers undergo early childhood education courses or training,
with additional enhancement training each year. Our overarching
goal is to deliver high-quality education and to comprehend the
individual needs of every child.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Maintaining confidentiality is essential to establishing mutual
respect for each person and a strong sense of community. RWSI
works hard to protect each family's right to privacy. Relationships
between employees and parents about children need to be
handled with the highest discretion. RWSI highly suggests that
discussions about a kid, behavior, or incident be held in private,
away from the child and other RWSI community members who are
not involved in the topic at hand. Talking in the halls should also be
kept to a minimum. We advise parents who have questions or
concerns to get in touch with the instructor in person or by email to
arrange a convenient time for a talk.

COMMUNICATION
A successful early childhood education program depends on
effective communication between the home and the school.

NON-EMERGENCY INFORMATION:
RWSI office communicates with parents through different ways:
Mobile phone/ telephone
RWSI website and Facebook page
Parent Orientation
Letters sent home in children’s backpacks

9
CLASSROOM INFORMATION
Weekly lesson plans, held and upcoming activities,
children's artworks and other
announcements posted in the classroom bulletin board

Please check the contents of your child’s backpack each

night so that you can find
important notes, art projects, and so forth

CHILD-SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Teachers and staff are required to give their full attention to all
children during arrival and dismissal times. Please ensure that
conversations are kept concise. If you have specific information to
communicate, we prefer it to be conveyed through a written note or
email to the teacher or supervisor.

The parent-teacher conference takes place once annually. During

this session, teachers and parents will engage in discussions
regarding the evaluation and developmental progress of your child

If you ever have specific concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out
to your child's teacher. You can send a note or call the office to leave
a message. Please note that during school hours, teachers are
unable to accept phone calls directly. If you have a message for a
teacher during school hours, kindly call or email the Admin office at
09066587461, and we will ensure the message reaches the teacher
promptly. The teacher will respond at the earliest convenience.

If you would want to speak with the teacher in-person or over the
phone, inquire directly after dismissal, write a note, or leave a
message at the office.

Kindly refrain from talking about issues or worries when your child
or other parents are around.

Any changes that occur at home or within the family—such as a

parent going on a trip, a parent divorcing, a family member being
admitted to the hospital, or a sick grandparent—should be shared
with the teacher. Staff members should be informed of these
developments since they may have an impact on your child's
conduct. Your privacy will always be respected by RWSI.

9
ADMISSIONS
Children of all races, colors, nations ethnic origins, and religions are
welcome at Racham Wilbeth School. Instead of administering an
admission exam, we interview parents to determine whether their
kid is ready for school, and if needed, we also do a brief observation.
It is imperative that parents discuss any significant issues they may
have regarding their child's education, socialization, or development
before the kid starts preschool or kindergarten at RWSI with the
supervisor prior to the child's first day of instruction. Our top goal is
to create a welcoming and appropriate learning environment for
every child.

NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY
Being a nonsectarian university, RWSI offers equal rights, privileges,
and access to all programs and activities to students of any race,
color, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin. We maintain a non-
discrimination policy in the way we administer our admissions and
educational programs. RWSI preschool and kindergarten, however,
has the right to suggest pupils to other institutions in specific cases
if doing so is thought to be in the children's best interests.

ENROLLMENT AND WITHDRAWAL

Kindly proceed to the RWSI Registrar's Office to enroll or withdraw
your child, including inquiring about documents request or
processing.

TUITION
Kindly proceed to the RWSI Registrar's Office and Cashier to inquire
about tuition fees and make payments.

9
BEHAVIOR AND SOCIAL
SKILLS POLICY

All children will receive a secure and encouraging learning

environment from RWSI. The conduct policy of the school promotes
social skills in children that align with many of the values of RWSI,
such as propriety and self-righteousness.

Teachers encourage pleasant interactions between children and

adults by modeling appropriate behavior. A key element of our
curriculum is social skill development, which supports kids'
development into effective, lifelong learners.

Because of RWSI's dedication to a developmentally appropriate

curriculum, child-centered activities that foster positive social
relationships are guaranteed. To promote success, educators
carefully control the classroom atmosphere, explain and enforce
clear expectations and boundaries for behavior, employ nonverbal
indicators, and/or redirect a child's behavior.

When an issue comes up, the teacher uses storytelling or role-

playing to reinforce the desired behavior, teaching peacemaking
techniques, and modeling right behavior. Kids acquire the ability to
make appropriate decisions and learn coping mechanisms for when
they become irritated. The child's self-control and self-esteem are
strengthened when there are consequences that are both
personally suitable and instructive.

The school encourages parents and teachers to collaborate and

create appropriate strategies when a kid goes through a period of
behavioral challenges. In the event that a specific situation requires
attention, the teacher will proceed as follows:

10
The teacher at RWSI will observe and document a child's behavior.

Following observation, the teacher will engage in a discussion with

the parent, informing them of learning-based strategies that will be
implemented. The teacher will also consult with the supervisor for
additional insights.

Ongoing communication with the parent will be maintained to

discuss the impact of implemented strategies on the child's
behavior.

If concerns persist, a conference will be convened involving the

teacher, parent, and supervisor to explore effective options for
nurturing the child's appropriate social skills.

RWSI is committed to making reasonable efforts to collaborate with

the child and their family to address behavioral concerns. In more
severe cases, an individualized action plan may be necessary. This
plan could involve seeking external support, referring the child for
diagnosis with a specialist (either in-house or external), considering
temporary removal from the classroom, or contacting the parent to
take the child home if needed. Repeated and severe issues may
ultimately result in the exclusion of a child from attending RWSI.

11
BIRTHDAYS AND CLASS
PARTIES
To celebrate their children's birthdays, parents could offer them
small birthday treats or gifts. Games and birthday celebrations are
not permitted. A week in advance, please arrange a time with the
teacher. Your first choice of date might not be available if there is
less notice. Teachers must use this opportunity to organize the
lessons with the birthday celebration in mind. Make sure you are
ready to share your preferred food with the teacher. I appreciate you
taking the time to consider them. Planning ahead is crucial for the
the security of our kids and to facilitate regular classroom
operations.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL

Never leave your child unattended, either within or outside the
structure. Never leave a child unsupervised in a car.

ARRIVAL
The teachers will be ready to start class at 8:00 am. You must
escort your child into the classroom and make sure that the
teacher knows that your child has arrived.

Arriving Early: If you happen to arrive ahead of your child's

class, we kindly ask that you wait in the hallway to allow our
teachers the necessary time to prepare for the session. Once
preparations are complete, the teachers will warmly welcome
your child into the classroom.

Arriving Late: We appreciate your attention in making every

effort to come on time. Regular tardiness can disrupt classes
and your child's school day. If you arrive late, please go directly
to your kid's class, minimizing any disruption, and drop off
your child.

11
DISMISSAL & PICK-UP:
Timely Pickup: Ensuring that all children are picked up
promptly is crucial. Our staff members have commitments
both before and after class sessions, underscoring the
importance of parents being mindful of dismissal times to
facilitate a smooth school day. Additionally, it can be
distressing for your child to unexpectedly be the last person in
the class to be picked up.

Delayed Pickup: Kindly save RWSI's phone number,

+63951888469, in your contacts for situations when you might
be running behind schedule. This ensures that the teacher
can promptly inform your child that you are en route.

Early Pickup: Kindly notify the teacher, preferably in advance, if

you have any specific reason for picking up your child early.
Additionally, ensure that you sign in at the front desk.

AUTHORIZED PICK-UP:
Only authorized fetchers with valid Gate Pass will be allowed
to pick up the child.
Anytime someone other than the typical fetcher picks up your
child, please let your teacher know
In case of an emergency, parents may contact the office to
provide verbal permission for their child to leave with
someone else. Verification of information on the Student
Profile Information will be requested to ensure that RWSI staff
is speaking to the authorized parent.
RWSI staff prioritizes ensuring the secure transition of each
child from RWSI care to an authorized adult during dismissal.
Staff members are advised to observe the demeanor of the
adult picking up the child. If a staff member, in the course of
observing, perceives that the adult, while authorized, is
displaying signs of anger or discontent, or if there is
reasonable cause to suspect that the person picking up the
child is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or is physically
impaired in a way that may jeopardize the child's safety, the
staff member may have grounds to decline releasing the child.
In such a situation, the staff member will request another
authorized adult to pick up the child or contact the numbers
provided on the child's Student Profile Information.
12
PARKING:
There is a designated area inside the premises for parking
your vehicles. We strongly discourage parking in front of the
gate to prevent congestion.

Drive slowly on the streets surrounding the campus, as there

may be children and parents walking along or crossing. As we
are located within the village, it is imperative to refrain from
parking on any side of the street.

It is against the law to leave unsupervised children in your car

in the parking lot at any time.

ILLNESS:
In a preschool setting, germs can easily spread. To maintain
the well-being of all children and staff, individuals who are
unwell are encouraged to stay at home. Common sense
should guide decisions regarding illnesses like colds, which
can manifest as mild sniffles or escalate to more severe
conditions such as sinus infections or deep coughs.

The Student Profile Information serves as our means to reach

out to parents or another designated adult in the event that
your child develops symptoms of illness during class. Your
child will be isolated in the School Clinic until arrangements
can be made for their pickup.

If one or more of the following symptoms is present in

your child, we will call you to pick up your child from
preschool:

temperature higher than 38° diarrhea

loss of appetite rash/infection of

skin
nausea or vomiting
pale or flushed
red, pink, or crusted eyes face
headache
stomach ache

earache

13
thick or greenish mucus from nose

cough

loss of energy/decrease in activity/falling asleep

sore throat

If your child is unable to fully participate in all aspects of the

daily class schedule due to illness, PLEASE ENSURE THEY STAY
AT HOME.

24-HOUR POLICY: Children displaying signs of illness within

the last 24 hours are not permitted to attend class.

Fever-Free Policy: A child must be without a fever for 24 hours,

without the use of fever-reducing medicine, before returning
to class.

Parent must notify the office immediately if a child:

In the case that your child is diagnosed with any

communicable diseases, such as strep throat, pink eye,
lice, pinworms, or any other illnesses common to a school
environment, it is crucial to notify RWSI. This allows us to
inform parents within your child's classroom to be
vigilant for symptoms. Please note that RWSI will not
disclose the name of the child or family involved; instead,
we will simply post a general notification stating, "There
has been a case of _____ reported."

If your child has any allergies or if you have concerns

regarding any aspect of your child's health, please inform
us.
Is taking medication, as medicine may affect your child's
behavior.
In case a child is absent for three days or more due to
illness, the parent must furnish a written statement from
the physician confirming that the child is in good health
and can return to school.
Unless we receive a doctor’s note requesting a child to stay
indoors, we expect every child to participate in outdoor play.

14
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
In accordance with DepEd Order 43 s. 2012, in the event that
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical
Services Administration (PAGASA) raises Signal No. 1 in the City
of San Carlos, preschool and kindergarten classes will be
automatically canceled or suspended.

RWSI retains the authority to close independently of PAGASA

decisions, as heavy flooding, local power outages, or other
circumstances may impact our operational capacity during
adverse weather conditions.

HOW TO KNOW IF RWSI IS

CLOSED
Information about school closings will be disseminated
through local radio and TV stations. Additionally, the latest
updates can be found on the RWSI website
(http://rachamwilbethschool.com) and Facebook page
(http://www.facebook.com/officalrws).

EMERGENCY
RWSI has a preparedness plan for emergencies,
encompassing various unlikely situations, including natural
occurrences like earthquakes and fires. Parents are briefed on
these emergency plans during the Parent Orientation at the
start of the school year. The primary concern of the school is
always the safety of the children and staff.

RWSI mandates that staff members undergo emergency

preparedness training and uphold a comprehensive
emergency preparedness plan for the school. Staff members
participate in regular emergency training, and the school
conducts annual emergency evacuation drills.

15
COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS OF AN EMERGENCY SITUATION

In the event of an emergency, RWSI will communicate with

parents through either a text message to mobile phones
and/or a phone call from a faculty or staff member.

EMERGENCY PHONE CONTACT INFORMATION FOR EACH CHILD

RWSI keeps emergency phone lists to inform parents of

unforeseen events, such as school closures, using the Student
Profile Information provided during enrollment.
Maintaining up-to-date Student Profile Information is the
responsibility of the parent.

EDUCATIONAL TRIPS

Educational trips play a crucial role in providing enriching

experiences for our children, thoughtfully planned by teachers
to ensure a comprehensive educational encounter.

For each scheduled educational trip, information and

permission slips will be sent home in school bags. To
participate, each child requires a signed permission slip and, if
applicable, payment of any necessary fees.

In cases where a child in the class necessitates emergency

medication (for allergic reactions, etc.), one of the parents
should accompany the child on the educational trip and bring
the required medication.

It is important to note that siblings are not permitted to

accompany parents and their child on the educational trip.
The presence of siblings can be distracting for both the
chaperoning parent and the group, posing potential liabilities.

To ensure the safety of everyone on the trip, a First Aid kit and
Emergency Contact Information will be carried along.

16
PLAYGROUND
The RWSI playground is restricted for use after school hours (8:00
AM-12:00 PM). Parents, when present on the playground with their
child or other children after school hours, are responsible for the
supervision of their own child or children. It is essential not to leave a
child or children alone or unsupervised on the playground at any
time.

RWSI requests that, under parental supervision, all children adhere

to the same guidelines applied during official class playground time.
These guidelines include using the slide as a "down" slide, with
children going feet first—on bottoms or stomachs, avoiding headfirst
slides. Children should slide to the bottom, move out of the way for
the next person, and refrain from standing on or jumping off the
slide. Climbing on top of the house is not permitted.

Parents must be present with their child on the playground to

ensure compliance with these rules. RWSI retains the right to
prohibit the use of our playground.

PARENT/ GUARDIAN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

RWSI actively promotes parental involvement in the preschool
community. Teachers consistently incorporate parents into special
celebrations and warmly welcome those who wish to share their
unique talents with the class. RWSI encourages parents to
contribute their skills and time to enhance the special community
spirit of the school. Opportunities for involvement include serving as
a story reader, participating as a guest teacher, contributing to
school beautification efforts, and assisting with outreach and
marketing initiatives. Your active engagement is valued and
contributes to the overall vibrancy of our school community.
