RE: PAYMENT OF PRODUCT CERTIFICATION FEES

Reference is made to your application received by Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) on 20th Oct, 2023 for grant
/ renewal of permit(s) to use the Distinctive Mark (Q Mark) on your Laundry soap manufactured at the facility located at
Serere along Bugondo Road.

This is therefore to request for payment of the product certification fees detailed below as a requirement to progress the
product certification process:

Please note that:

1. Payment must be done using ONLY the Payment Registration Numbers (PRNs) above.
2. Payment for these PRNs may be effected using any URA e-Payment Platform
3. The fees in 1 (Certification fees) and 2 (Testing fees) should be paid on the separate bank payment slips under the
respective departments as shared above.
4. Payment of all fees should be made to UNBS by 2024-01-18
5. After payment, The applicant is not required to upload the PRNs. UNBS will automatically verify the PRNs with URA.
6. Should there be failure in product samples, the applicant shall pay for product re-evaluation, either for the failed
parameter(s) or for such parameters as UNBS shall determine for purposes of decision making.

The audit date and audit plan will be communicated upon your submission and UNBS verification of the Payment
Registration Numbers (PRNs) for the billed fees.
