Plurals

 We form the plural of most nouns by adding –s to the end of the word.
dog-dogs

 We add –es to nouns which end in –sh, -ch, -s, -x , -z


bus-buses

 ending in a consonant + o →es


potato- potatoes, tomato-tomatoes but: piano-pianos, photo-photos, kilo-kilos,
logo-logos

 vowel + o →s
zoo-zoos, radio-radios

 Nouns which end in a consonant + -y change the y to i and take –es


city – cities

 nouns which end in –f/-fe, the –f/-fe becomes –ves


leaf-leaves but: roof-roofs, safe-safes, chef-chefs, belief-beliefs

 nouns ending in ff/ffe→s
