Cleaning the LEAKSHIELD membrane

If there is visible contamination on the membrane of your LEAKSHIELD or the diagnostic
function of the aquasuite software indicates a possible problem, you can try cleaning as
follows:

1. Remove all cables from the LEAKSHIELD and

unscrew the device from the reservoir or stand-
alone adapter.

2. Drop some isopropanol or lighter fluid (cleaning

gasoline) onto the membrane (see right) and let
it soak in for a moment. The duration depends
on the degree of contamination.

3. Dab the cleaning agent off the surface with pa-

per towel. Do not apply pressure and do not rub
the surface.

4. Repeat the previous steps several times.

5. Allow the membrane to dry completely before re-installing the LEAKSHIELD and
putting it into operation again.

6. Check with the diagnostic function of the aquasuite software whether the problem
has been solved or at least improved. If necessary, repeat the cleaning procedure
again.

Replacing the membrane

If cleaning is not successful or if the membrane is mechanically damaged, the membrane
needs to be replaced to ensure a reliable function of the LEAKSHIELD. A new membrane
including instructions is available as a replacement part, order code 34158.
