UNDERSTANDING THE SELF

1. What does beauty mean to you?

•the beauty of the world symbolizes the beauty of a person’s attitude, if your
attitude is ugly, people don’t like you

2. What do you think makes a person attractive?

• that other people will be attracted to me because of my physical cleanliness and
that they will also be attracted to my hard work and good heart towards other people

3. Can you name someone you think is attractive and tell why?
•gibert and analyn are my parents who will attract me to them because of their
hard work and they never let us down no matter what and they love my brother
and me very much.

4. What is the best compliment you’ve eve received?

•The best compliment I received was when they said that I am kind to other
people, especially when they need help, I go and my kindness to other people
and the amount of respect I have for them.

5. Do you like when people will tell you beautiful/handsome?

•yes of course I love to be called handsome especially when my girlfriend calls
me it’s sweet to the ears and of course I’m thrilled when they call me handsome.

6. Do like the way you look?

•yes, I really like the way I look now and I accept what I look like and I feel that
what God has given me is the look you accept and you will be satisfied so I
accept what I look like now.

7. Do you like getting haircuts or getting hair brush/styled/braid/put up?

•yes, I like my hair now, but I like the way I used to have long hair, but it’s not
possible now because I have ROTC.
8. What do you think it means when people say that beauty comes from the inside?
•I understand what they say that beauty can be found on the inside, I believe that
even if the face is beautiful, if the behavior is ugly, it is useless, but not everyone
is like that.

9. Do you think that Barbie doll, Disney princess, and superhero gives the little boys
and girls unrealistic boy expectations?
•I can’t say anything because since I was a child, I have no interest in cartoon
movies, only jumping cows and jolen.

10. Do you prefer when you wear makeup/somebody wear makeup?

•I really don’t want to wear make-up because why do you wear make-up if your
face is fine, you’re just ruining the skin of your face when you use make-up, so I
don’t want that make-up no matter what they tell me. I don’t want that make up
