Summary of Strengths and areas for growth
This year teaching has helped me to not only better understand my students and their
community, but I have been able to work and collaborate with other teachers, coaches and
parents to improve my classroom. From working with coaches on academic expectations to
communicating with parents, I have been able to improve my students’ academic success in
their freshman year.
I am still exploring and relying on other teachers’ advice and experience when faced with
new situations. This could be from teaching new material to student to how to handle parent
involvement situations. Making sure that all my answers and responses have the students’
best interests at heart.
