Title of the Activity: BENCHMARKING WITH MAWAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Date: February 5, 2024
Venue: Office of the School Head
Participant: School Head and Faculty of Mawal ES
Attendance: 100% of the expected participants
Objectives: To provide further assistance to the neighboring schools in Leon B.
Postigo on the implementation of face-to-face classes
Narrative Report: Schools have significant challenges in terms of learning continuity,
making school-related decision-making a top priority. The school leaders
and faculty of P.T. Martinez ES gathered for a benchmarking session with
Mawal ES.

Benchmarking is a school approach for learning about strategic means

for implementing educational programs. This strategy enables an
institution to communicate its best practices and action plan in response
to specific situations and causes.

On February 5, 2024, guests from Mawal ES arrived at the office of the

School Head as early as 3:00 pm and were gathered in the venue.

Mr. Romar P. Asentista, School Officer In-Charge of P.T. Martinez ES

expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be benchmarked. This
session was indeed a great start to a collaboration among DepEd Leon B.
Postigo neighboring schools. He highlighted that the school has taken all
of the essential precautions in order to implement the Basic Quality
Education Service.

Following that, Ms. Jessa Mariz L. Calimot, Administrative Officer II of

P.T. Martinez ES, discussed her best practices in terms of financial
management, bookkeeping and safekeeping practices with all the means
of verification.

Ms. Maritess P. Jandayan, Head Teacher II of Mawal ES, asked about the
leadership and management practices of P.T. Martinez ES. And also, Mr.
Virgil P. Vilan, T-III of Mawal ES, inquired about the financial aspects on
how to effectively manage the resources.

The event came to a close with the giving of certificate of appearance to

the guests and signing in the logbook and CSM Survey. Hence, the
fulfillment of this benchmarking truly lies on the school’s commitment to
serve our nation’s leaners.
