of control and chain of command. These elements comprise an organizational chart and create
the organizational structure itself. "Departmentation" refers to the way an organization
structures its jobs to coordinate work. "Span of control" means the number of individuals who
report to a manager. "Chain of command" refers to a line of authority. The company's strategy
of managerial centralization or decentralization also influences organizational structures.
"Centralization," the degree to which decision-making authority is restricted to higher levels
of management, typically leads to a pyramid structure. Centralization is generally
recommended when conflicting goals and strategies among operating units create a need for a
uniform policy. "Decentralization," the degree to which lower levels of the hierarchy have
decision-making authority, typically leads to a leaner, flatter organization. Decentralization is
recommended when conflicting strategies, uncertainty or complexity require local adaptability

strategic planning, business development, and overall corporate governance. We were well-
prepared for the surge in demand with our distribution infrastructure and supply chain ready to
address this demand most efficiently. We deployed all enablers in servicing the consumers with
the bestin-class products and collaborated very closely with our influencers. However, the
season demand which is typically centred in the third quarter of the financial year, was
impacted by an early Diwali and extended monsoons throughout large parts of the country. A
comforting factor has been the good comeback in overall demand conditions as we ended the
financial year, with demand in both – the urban as well as the rural markets, picking up. Overall,
for the year, we maintained the exceptional momentum of the last few years and delivered a
robust volume growth of 14% and a value growth of 20%, strongly reinforcing our leadership
position. During the year, we made significant efforts to reach out to new consumers on a
massive scale. Putting the consumer at the core of our strategy, we ensured the availability.

Asian Paints has consistently shown strong financial performance in terms of revenue and
profitability. The financial management includes budgeting, financial planning, and risk
management strategies.Regular financial reports and disclosures provide insights into the
company's financial health for investors and stakeholders. The finance team at Asian Paints
works closely with the business to understand the story behind the numbers. The department
comprises teams for accounts, taxation, legal, finance, secretarial and the shared service centre.
This results in a plethora of roles for employees to have varied exposure – some focus on book
keeping, ensuring that necessary compliances and checks are maintained, while others do
exploratory research to evaluate new business and markets, to support organisational
growth. The team appreciates people who understand business processes and how internal
systems work. This helps one comprehend what the financial numbers really mean, and their
implication for the business. They also act as conscience keepers for the business, so that laws
are complied within letter, but also in spirit. This involves advising the business on a regular
basis, and also partnering with them to enable compliance. For instance, when sales tax was
replaced by Value Added Tax (VAT) in 2008, they were among the first FMCG companies to
align the new payment system into the Enterprise System (ERP). This was achieved over 2-3
days, with minimal disruption to the business.Similarly, in July 2016, when the Ind-AS
implementation called for a different way to prepare finances, the government gave an
extension of the date but Asian Paints released its Q1 results on time, fully compliant with the
new standards. This was made possible with intense preparation, modifying formats of

Human resources at Asian Paints has been partnering the business through strategic initiatives
for decades now. People lie at the heart of what makes Asian Paints unique. This translates into

– an underlying commitment to fairness, transparency and care. We are the ‘custodians of
culture’, balancing changes required for an evolving business context, with core principles that
make us unique.Asian Paints is renowned for its sound industrial relations across all plants,
where union settlements have always been linked with productivity improvements. The robust
grievance readressal system across the organisation means that ‘justice is done, but also seen
to be done’. From 2009, there has been a focus on growth and inclusive participation for all
cadres in the plant, which has seen operators take up supervisory roles and grow in their careers.
This has translated into a new approach for labour settlements as well - outcome based and not
activity based. The ‘5S’ approach to employee relations encompassing communication,
welfare, growth, and inclusive participation is pioneering in enabling sustainable industrial
relations. Human resource management involves both strategic and comprehensive approaches
to managing people, as well as workplace culture and environment. The role of human resources
professionals is to ensure that a company’s most important asset—its human capital—is being
nurtured and supported through the creation and management of programs, policies, and
procedures, and by fostering a positive work environment through effective employee-
employer relations. The concept behind human resource management is that employees who
are subject to effective human resource management are able to more effectively and
productively contribute to a company’s overall direction, thereby ensuring that company goals
and objectives are accomplished.Today’s human resource management team is responsible for
much more than traditional personnel or administrative tasks. Instead, members of a human
resource management team are more focused on adding value to the strategic utilization of
employees and ensuring that employee programs are impacting the business in positive and
measurable ways.An August 2014 Forbes article explored the shifting goal of today’s human
resource management teams. More specifically, the article found that HR teams focused on
things that don’t add true value to the organization are often deemed reactive, uncreative, and
lacking basic business understanding. On the other hand, HR professionals who want to be
recognized as true business partners must see themselves as business people who specialize in
HR, not as HR people who advise a business.Todays’ human resources managers/business
partners must understand the workings of the business.

4.1 suggestions

 The company's profit is not in good standing, for example the company has to take

alternate measures

 Production and control of costs, management, sales etc.

 Organizations have a lower current ratio, so their current ratio can be increased so that

short term liability can be done smoothly.

 The firm's liquidity ratio is not the best liquidity in five years. So I suggest that the

firm maintains proper liquid money, such as cash and bank balance.

 It increases the efficiency of the employee, the more training required for its

employees, the greater safety precautions for employees who work directly in the

sugar production process, to increase their productivity efficiency and to minimize

errors while performing tasks.

 The firm's high inventory advocates that the firm should reduce its shares by

increasing sales.

 The direct cost of the firm is too high, so my advice is to reduce the direct cost cost by

purchasing raw materials from other suppliers.

 Organizations should have appropriate testing in the plant production process.
