About her.

My name is Syafia Hanim binti Sulaiman,most of my friends call me Pia. I’m 18 years old from Ipoh
and currently going to pursue my study in International Baccalaureate of science. I’m the third out of
seven and the older sister of four. I stick to my philosophy : expect the unexpected. Whatever
coming forward in my life, I just have to do the best and don’t have to really care about other people
that always underestimate us. The reason why I continue my study is because I’m the first one that
going to take the higher education. I want to be an educated person and independent. I want to be a
role model to my little sister so that they will take serious about education. I really hope that this
program will give me a lot of input that benefit me as the structure is really good. I hope I get to
prepare myself before continue my degree overseas if I get the chance. Starting from 2020, I’m in
love with chemistry even I’m not really understand the usage of the knowledge. I also gain more
knowledge about chemical things when my skin started to breakout and I need to use skincare for
the treatment. From that, I did a lot of research about ingredients in each of product that I wanted
to use. So this is one of the reason why I want to study in applied chemistry to learn about chemical
in a scientific way. After that, I want to educate people about the important to take care of our own
health, not only our body but also skin . Healthy skin increase our confidence. I hope I can be
medical assistant or lab assistant to analyze data of patient. This job is super important to assist
doctor to make their job more easier. If as a lab assistant, not only related to health care, it also can
be related to food industry or cosmetic because the usage of chemistry is wide. For these industry,
lab assistant play an important role to produce new formula and check the quality to make sure the
products are all safe for the consumers. I plan to be one of the scientists that produce a good
product and help the community to maintain their health.
