Setup of Microsoft 365 Multi-Factor Authentication

Version 2.1

To comply with security requirement and to protect your LWK Microsoft 365 account, please follow the
guideline below to setup MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication).

Multi-factor authentication – we will use a one-time passcode (by Microsoft Authenticator mobile APP) as
token for you to login Microsoft 365 in unknown device.

Note:

 Whenever you sign-in to your Microsoft 365 account on browser or unknown device, you will be asked
to input your  M365 password +  One-time password code for a higher security protection.

 For your MS Outlook in Office PC, ONLY the first-time sign-in is required UNLESS you have changed the
Windows password (M365 password=Windows password) or signed out your M365 account.

Setup with your account (full email and computer login password) using this link:

1. Follow the link and input the information as below:

2. After you select Set up , please download and install Microsoft Authenticator APP in your mobile

and scan the QR code on YOUR SCREEN, an example as below.

3. Enter six-digit Verification code (Generated from the Microsoft Authenticator app from your phone) on
Step 2.

4. You should register at least one more channel to receive the verification code (or call you on Office phone):
select Authentication phone and/or Office phone on Step 3.

5. Go back to the setup link to register Office phone number for additional choice.
Please ensure that you have SIGNED OUT your account after these setup process.

Click Save to complete the setup.

Tips: You can change your sign-in with another way

(eg. Calling to your office number to give you a code in case your
mobile is not along with you).

Also, you can use the above link to update your mobile number
or office direct line if there is any change (i.e. Replace Mobile).
