PARTICIPANTS : School Head and Teachers

III. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Objectives :
At the end of this session, you are expected to be able to:
1. identify the different parts of an Action Research proposal;
2. be familiar with techniques on how to write each part; and
3. prepare an Action Research proposal.

IV. HIGHLIGHTS

Day 1
 Discussion on the Parts of an Action Research Proposal
 Discussion on the Techniques on How to Write Each Part of the Action
Research Proposal

Day 2
 Workshop (Prepare/Craft an Action Research Proposal)

V. RESULTS

1. Teachers were able to familiarize the parts of the Action Research Proposal
4. Teachers were able to craft a draft of the Action Research Proposal following the
techniques they have just learned

VI. PARTICIPANTS’ FEEDBACK


1. Methodology :
Day 1:

 The preliminaries started with a prayer and a short talk was given by the school head
to provide an overview and statement of purpose of the session.

 The SLAC activity was facilitated by the ICT/SLAC Coordinator through a slide deck
presentation to make the activity smooth and easy to understand.
 Several questions to refresh knowledge about research were entertained.

 Basic parts and samples in every part of the action research have been explained and
thoroughly elaborated to be understood.

 Techniques on how to write each part were tackled comprehensively by the speaker

Day 2
 Guidelines on writing the manuscript were reviewed, and the teachers proceeded to
the writing proper

 From time-to-time questions were raised and the speaker readily answered each

 The speaker went around the room to see the progress of the participants’ work.
Taking note of the parts of the Action Research proposal in which they have
difficulty.

 After one hour the speaker asked for a volunteer or two to present their workshop
outputs

the topics
4. Audience Participation : active participation/eagerness to
learn

VII. NEXT STEPS

1. The School Head shall consolidate the crafted action research proposals and
submit it to the District Research Coordinator for checking.
2. Monitor the teachers in the crafting of their action research and provide
needed technical assistance

VIII. RECOMMENDATION

The School Head shall closely follow-up the teachers and provide needed technical
assistance so that they can finish their research on time.
