Java Microservices Engineer

Job Summary:
Information Boulevard is looking for a skilled Java Software Microservices Engineer for one of
our

key clients. This is a 3-year contract position inside the United States.
This engineer position will be responsible for:

• Planning and designing new software and web applications.

• Documentation of all development activity.
• Training personnel, including non-technical.
• Performance tracking.
• Leading projects and sharing expertise and knowledge.
• Ultimately, as a Java Microservices Software Engineer, you should have intimate knowledge of

Java coding and development, have excellent software troubleshooting skills as well as the
ability to manage projects. We're looking for the type of person who can work together with the
rest of the development team to drive results and growth, someone who knows their stuff and
ultimately will be part of a great team that makes things happen to the benefit of our customers
and stakeholders.

Java Software Engineer Responsibilities:

● Meeting with the software development team to discuss project definitions and goals.
● Writing clean, scalable code production-ready Java using spring boot and NoSql DB in a
microservices based architecture.
● Designing system integrations and project workflows.
● Understands the code review process.
● Prioritizing and distributing development tasks.
● Testing and debugging software applications.
● Validating the functionality and security of the application, including working closely with
the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical
requirements.

Java Software Engineer Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent.
● 5-10+ years of Previous experience working as a Java Software Engineer, Java Architect,
or Java Developer.

● Experience in Java, Spring boot is a must.

● Experience in RESTful API and SOAP web services.
● Experience with: Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
● Knowledge of networking protocols: HTTP/S, TCP, UDP.
● Unix / Linux environment savvy.
● Familiarity with formats such as XML, JSON and protocol buffers.
● Excellent troubleshooting skills.
● Good communication skills.
● Able to travel and relocate to the United States.
