Introduction:
Drones can be used to transport goods from one location to another. This technology
has gained significant attention and interest in recent years due to its potential to
revolutionize the logistics and transportation industries.

Problem Statement:
● A company wants to consider a prototype of drone delivery technology.
● You have to develop a wireless drone that can grab an object (ball) and fly over
obstacles, carrying the load to designated destiny. The pilot will stand 10 meters
away from the obstacle arena, so a camera will definitely be needed for
guidance.
● Arena details are given below:

Registration:
● A team can consist of a maximum of six participants.
● Students from different educational institutions can form a team.
● More than one team can participate from the same institution

Path:
The path will consist of pillars, loops, bends, underpasses, and turbines, placed in a
random sequence along an aerial track. The track will be divided into three parts, and
each part will have a different ball to pick and drop. The part will end with the drop zone,
and the whole path will end after the third drop zone and landing pad for testing
maneuverability skills.

The competition will be conducted in three rounds.

1. In first round, the arena consists of 8 obstacles:

Obstacle 1: The tunnel signifies the various ways to reach the refugees. It
consists of an L-shaped tunnel, a cuboidal tunnel, and a circular ring.
L-shaped tunnel: 30 Points (Cross section will always be 80 cm by 80 cm)
Cuboidal tunnel: 20 Points (80 cm x 80 cm x 165 cm)
Ring: 10 points (diam completion).
Obstacle 2 consists of 2 rings and a turbine with a rotation speed of 10-35
rpm (the exact rotation speed will be announced during the competition),
which is placed in front of them symmetrical to the 2 rings.
Diameter of each ring: 100.0 cm
Completion points: 15 points

Obstacle 3 : consists of 2 rings, 1 in horizontal plane and 1 in vertical

plane, with equal diameters of 100.0 cm. Participants will have to pass
their drone through the horizontal ring from down to up and then through
the ring, which is placed vertically.
Completion Points: 20 Points

Obstacle 4 denotes the signal the refugees used to indicate their

location. Participants have to read the number that will be wirelessly
displayed on the screen. If you fail to do so, then no points will be
awarded.
Number read successfully: 20 points; otherwise, 0.

Obstacle 5 signifies turbulent air conditions. It consists of fans, which

provide strong air, and a rectangular frame, as shown in the figure. There
will be a wall opposite the fans to restrict these conditions in some parts of
the course. The challenge will be successfully completed once the
participant is able to pass through the rectangular frame
Fan speed will be approx. 12–15 km/hr
Completion points: 20 Points

Obstacle 6: It consists of pillars (refer figure) erected in a random order.

The participants have to traverse the obstacle along a zigzag course,
avoiding the pillars.
Distance between 2 pillars = 1m
Completion points = 15

Obstacle 7 consists of a rectangular structure that is divided into four

identical square partitions. Participants have to maneuver through each of
the rectangles.
The length and breadth of the rectangles are 65 cm and 60 cm,
respectively.
Completion points = 40 (10 points for passing through each square).
Total completion points will be awarded only if a drone follows the same path.
Obstacle 8 is the rotating drop zone area. It consists of a circular area
divided into quadrants. Participants must drop their medical kit in the
designated platform zone by scanning the assigned number. Points will be
awarded based on the accuracy of the kit dropped.

Speed of rotation = 15–35 rpm (exact speed of rotation will be announced during the competitio
Radius of Circular drop zone = 35 cm
Medical kit dropped in the desired area = 20 points (in the correct location)
Landing successfully = 10 points

Notification of any changes to the arena will be given prior to the

event commencing.

2. In the following round:

Aside from the initial round, there are two additional obstacles in the arena, which
are:

The first obstacle requires the participant to pass the drone through a moving
ring.
Diameter of each ring: 100.0 cm
Completion points: 20

Obstacle 2 is a long, circular tunnel that has turns, and the participant has to pass the
drone through the moving rings.
Diameter of tunnel: notified on the spot
Completion points: notified on the spot.

3. In the third round, there will be some more obstacles and challenges that will be
announced on the spot.
Package Specifications:
● Size : 10 cm X 10cm X 10cm
● Weight: 250 +/- 10 gram

Game Rules:
1. The no-fly zone is the area excluding the rectangle of 10m x 10m.
2. If the drone flies outside the arena, that flight will be canceled.

General Rules:
1. A maximum time of 5 minutes from take-off to landing will be given to
complete the circuit.
2. The organizers' time measurement will be the final one used to determine the
teams' scores.
3. In case of any disputes or discrepancies, the organizers’ decision will be final
and binding.
4. The organizers reserve the right to change any or all of the above
rules as they deem fit.
5. If the rules change, they will be made clear on the website and sent to all
registered teams.
6. Each team will get two chances to try if the drone cannot make it through the
course, as long as it gets past at least one obstacle on the first try.
7. If a team makes a second run, only the points it scored in
It will count for the second run.
8. A team will not be successful if they do not get past even one obstacle.
Let the second run happen.

The organizer's decision will stand.

The score:
A = points earned in seven obstacles plus points for carrying things.
B = Obstacle 8; drop the kit in the right place to get 20 points.
C = Safe Landing = 10 points There are some points that can be given in B and C.
Penalties (P)
Points scored = (A + B + C ) - P

Judging :
The mentioned path will get points for:
Score = (total time (sec) minus time taken (sec)) + Points earned minus Penalty.
= (Total time (sec) - time taken (sec)) + (A+B+C) - P.

In the first round, two teams will be eliminated.

The remaining teams will compete in the second round, and the top three teams will be selected
for the final round.

In the third round, the team with the highest score will win the competition.
