Surface Preparation
KAN-ALKO Synthetic Enamel Finish is an industrial finish that requires sound preparation for optimum results. Synthetic Enamel alkyd
is designed for application to previously primed and undercoated surfaces typically over Zinc. Remove dirt, dust, grease, oil, salt and
other contaminates from the surface prior to painting. Use hand or power tool clean to a steel surface. Sand and dust should be used
to clean timber surfaces.
Before application of paint, surface is smoothened with a primer.

Condition during application

Do not apply at temperature below 10oC or if the Relative humidity exceeds 85% or within 3oC of the Dew Point.

Application Methods
KAN-ALKO Synthetic Enamel Finish can be applied using roller, brush, conventional or airless spray. Apply an even coat to the
recommended film build using a brush or roller. While using a spray apply one wet coat overlapping the last one by 50%. Standard
equipment such as Graco, Hermex, Binks or others using a 30:1 pump ratio for airless spray can be used.
