RE : APPROVAL FOR USE OF MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT FUNDS

As you are aware, Maintenance and Improvement (MIJ funds are approved by Ministry of
Education before utilization on projects identified by schools. It was agreed in a meeting held
on1gfrJanuary 2}24with all Sub County Directors of Education that approvals for use of MI
funds will be carried out at the sub county level.

This is therefore to ask you to do all the pre - requisite preparations and take your request files
to your Sub County Director of Education one week before the county team visits your sub
county. Requests will be approved once a year.
The dates for approval at Sub County level are as follows:
