• Finished doll measures about 4.5” tall and 5”
long

Materials
• Yarn: Lion Brand Vanna’s choice in dusty
blue, chocolate, kelly green, antique rose,
mustard, white
• Hook: G (4.00mm)
• Polyester fiberfill
• Small scissors
• Craft glue
• Tapestry needle
• Red, dark red, white felt

Pattern Key
• Ch: chain
• Sc: single crochet
• Hdc: half double crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Tr: triple crochet
• Inc: increase
• Dec: invisible decrease
• Sl st: slip stitch
• FO: fasten off

Specialty Stitching
• This pattern uses the magic ring method and
invisible decreases. Both of which have
great tutorials available on the internet.
• Picot stitch: ch 3, sl st in the 3rd ch from hook

Legs (make 4):


In dusty blue
Start with a slip knot on your hook, making sure to leave a long starting tail for sewing
the legs on the body. Ch 8, join with sl st to form a circle.
R1: Sc in same stitch as sl st, sc around (8) *sl st does not count
R2: Sc around (8)
R3: [Sc, inc] 4 times (12)
R4: Sc around (12)
FO. Now you’re going to make the foot part of the leg.
R1: Sc 6 in magic ring (6)
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3: Insert your hook into the next stitch of the foot AND the last stitch of the leg (Figure
1). Make a sc through both layers. Continue to sc around (12)
FO and add stuffing, making sure bottom stay flat. Sew the top closed with the starting
tail.
You can also add claws by sewing in a few lines with white yarn (Figure 2), though I
recommend adding them after you’ve placed the legs on the body to ensure proper
placement.

Ears (make 2):

R1: Sc 6 in magic ring (6)

FO with a long tail and flatten, do not stuff.

Eyelids (make 2):


In dusty blue
Start with a slip knot on your hook. Ch 6.
R1: In the 2nd ch from the hook, make a sc.
Continue working in the chains: hdc, dc, hdc,
sc.
FO and leave a tail.

Stem:
In chocolate
R1: Sc 6 in magic ring (6)
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3-9: Sc around (12)
Add stuffing. FO with a long tail.

Stem crown:
In mustard
Start with a slip knot on your hook. Ch 15,
join with sl st to form a circle.
R1: Continue working in the chains: [Picot, 2
sc] 7 times, sl st.

page 1 and Figures 3 & 4)
FO and leave a tail.

Leaves (make 4):


In kelly green
Start with a slip knot on your hook, making sure to leave a long starting tail for attaching
the leaves. Ch 11.
R1: In the 2nd ch from the hook, make a sc.
Continue working in the chains: hdc, 2 dc, 2 tr, 2 dc, hdc, sc.
Turn and work in the other side of the chains: sc, hdc, 2 dc, 2 tr, 2 dc, hdc, sc, sl st into
the turning chain (Figure 5).
FO and weave in end.

Petal (make 6):


In antique rose
Start with a slip knot on your hook. Ch 4.
R1: In the 2nd ch from the hook, make a sc.
Continue working in the chains: 2 sc (3)
R2-7: Ch 1, turn. Sc 3 (3)
R8: Ch 1, turn. Dec over all three stitches (1)
(See Figures 6, 7, 8).
Sc around edges, sl st to first stitch.
FO and leave a tail. Weave in starting tail.

Assembly:
• Attach head to body (See Figure 9 for
placement).
• Attach legs to body (See Figure 10 for
placement). If you added claws, make sure
they face forward.
• Attach stem crown to row 3 of stem
• Attach petals just underneath crown and
evenly around stem. They will overlap a
little. Add white felt spots with fabric glue.
• Attach stem to top of body. It should sit Figure 9
right in the middle between the legs.
• Attach leaves evenly around base of stem
• Attach ears to head. Cut out two small
triangles of dark red felt and glue to inside
of ears.
• Cut out half circles of white felt for the
eyes. Add a small red half circle for the iris
and a tiny white circle for the pupil. Glue
together.
• Attach eyelids over felt eyes, they should
angle downward a bit.
