1. OBJECTIVE

To ensure projects are carried out fulfill and comply with the specification requirements ansd
customer requirements.

2. SCOPE

The procedure shall cover the following:

a) In process inspection and testing
b) Final inspection for all projects undertaken by Dolomite Engineering Sdn Bhd.

4. RESPONSIBILITY

The assigned project personnel shall be responsible to ensure this procedure is implemented
and maintained effectively.

5. PROCEDURE

5.1 In-Process

5.1.1 The project personnel shall understand and determine the inspection and testing that shall be
carried out including preparation of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) (DE-QC-IT-S01) prior to
commencement of construction / project.

5.1.2 During project / construction, the project personnel shall carry out the inspection for the work
carried out by the sub-contractor. The test results are recorded in appropriate forms or
checklist, if applicable.

5.1.3 For building work, general work standards and inspection checklist shall be laid down and
agreed with relevant parties at the start of the project.

5.2 Final Inspection

5.2.1 The Process of final inspection of each activity or item of work shall be performed as in the
sequence below.

5.2.2 Upon completion each activity of work, the project personnel shall submit the “Request for
Inspection” form to the client’s representative or consultant. Such form shall be used unless
otherwise specified by the client.

5.2.3 After inspection, the client’s representative or consultant shall submit a list of all defective
works that requires rectification works to be carried out.

5.2.4 The Site Supervisor shall immediately identify the defective area and mark on site. All
recording shall be kept. This process of identification shall be conducted in the presence of
consultant’s staff where possible.

5.2.5 Once the rectification work required is agreed with the Site Supervisor the sub contractors
shall execute the rectification work.

5.2.6 Once the completed, the project personnel shall inspect all the rectification works jointly with
the client’s representative or consultant. If works is done satisfactorily to their requirement,
the consultant shall acknowledge and approve the rectification work.

5.2.7 Upon completion of final inspection and all rectification work (where necessary), the
Dolomite Group administration officer shall then apply for certificate of practical completion
from the client’s consultant.

5.2.8 During handover, the Project Manager shall ensure that the following conditions are met (by
sub-contractor):-
1) All excess materials and debris are removed from site
2) All temporary access (if any) are removed
3) All equipment removed and stored in designated area.
