Ever since July 3, 2020, written every day to complete my novel, Star-Crossed Enemies. Responsible for keeping
myself accountable and making sure to write however much as possible each day. Through this experience,
improved creativity, empathy, and time management skills. Started writing Madame Independent in early
September of 2023.
DemocraShe Grades: 11, 12, School, 3 hrs/wk, 10 wks/yr, Lieutenant

Discussed the aspects and applications of American democracy with girls across the nation through Zoom. I would
be responsible for presenting my opinion on democracy and creating an initiative to support and extend
DemocraShe's theme of civics education. Through DemocraShe, gained knowledge of civic advocacy and
methods to use in public speaking, such as grounding.
Cultural Coffee Chats Grade: 11, During School Year, 1 hr/wk, 4 wks/yr
Cultural Coffee Chats is a month-long program created by The World in Us where students are matched for one-on-
one conversations about their cultural perspectives, history, traditions, and values.
Connected with a girl from India and Sri Lanka and video-called for an hour a day each week. Through the
conferences, discussed the education system of the US and compared it to those of India and Sri Lanka.
Furthermore, gauged the similarities and differences of the three countries, whether it be morning rituals or religion.
Responsible for submitting a short story where an American girl went to school in India to assess and challenge what I
had learned from the two girls. Gained skills in consideration and knowledge of international diplomacy and South
Asia.
Softball Grades: 9, 10, School, 15 hrs/wk, 20 wks/yr
Played left and right field. Responsible for equipment, such as filling and transporting softball buckets, storing bases,
batting nets, batting tees, and keeping my teammates engaged in the game. As a result, gained valuable skills such
as patience, consideration, and collaboration.
Student Council Grade: 10, During School Year, 2 hrs/wk, 12 wks/yr, Treasurer
Managed the finances of school funding for Student Council and its investments for the students, such as a party
after the homecoming game called the 5th Quarter Party and a dodgeball tournament in May. Furthermore,
responsible for recording membership payments and the money was raised for our council to become certified and
registered under TASC, the Texas Association of Student Councils. Gained knowledge of communication, patience,
and management.
Family Responsibilities Grades: 9, 10, 11 ,12, During School Year, 5 hrs/wk, 52 wks/yr
Supported family by tending to our dogs, Lola and Buddy doing the laundry, dishes, as well as getting the groceries
and assisting my younger sister with school and softball. Maintaining a household led to the knowledge of how to
take care of myself when I'm in college and have my own home one day.

Service
TEEN CERT Grade: 11, During School Year, 5 hrs/wk, 6 wks/yr
TEEN Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program trains teen volunteers in basic disaster response skills,
such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.
Learned how to handle dire situations, such as when there is a natural disaster, an injured or maimed individual, and
a medical emergency with no medical professional present. Responsible for everyone's safety and understanding
how to guarantee that safety. Gained knowledge in medical operations, natural disaster relief, and collaboration.
Easter Bunny Grade: 11, During School Year, 5 hrs/wk, 2 wks/yr
Took pictures with elementary students as the Easter Bunny. Responsible for interacting with students as an inviting
and charismatic character and maintaining said character. When not in costume, responsible for guiding children
from classrooms to the room for pictures, confirming their parent's payment for pictures, managing the volume of the
students waiting in line, and recording the names of students and classes who had their pictures taken. Gained skills
in patience and management.
Challenger League “Buddy” Grades: 9, 10, 11, School Break, 1 hr/wk, 8 wks/yr
As a “Buddy,” dedicated Saturdays to coaching disabled kids in softball and playing alongside them. Responsible for
keeping the kids engaged and instructing them in the same aspects as the 7- and 8-year-old girls. Gained skills such
as empathy and improvisation by coaching and playing with these kids.
Backpack Packer Grade: 11, School Break, 8 hrs/wk, 1 wk/yr
Went to the Houston Food Bank to unbox and organize food packages from the bulk before storing food in
backpacks for low-income students. Collaborated with strangers in an assembly line fashion and delegated tasks to
everyone. Gained skills in leadership and teamwork.
Book Buddy Grade: 11, During School Year, 1 hr/wk, 5 wks/yr
As a Book Buddy, partnered with a first grader at a local library and read how many books she desired. Responsible
for asking her post-reading questions about her experience with the book. Responsible for encouraging her to read
as much of the book's content as she desired. Gained skills of patience and collaboration.
Middle School Monitor Grade: 11, During School Year, 3 hrs/wk, 1 wk/yr
Monitored middle schoolers during their Glow Party after school. Prepared materials for activities at the Glow Party,
such as colorful plastic cups for students to create towers of cups and colorful blocks for Jenga. Made sure trash was
picked up in the cafeteria and assisted students to know where to go for the party and to their classrooms to pick up
their backpacks before being dismissed from the Glow Party. Gained skills in patience and management.

Hobbies
Languages, consuming global music and media, reading, true crime, teaching, and working out/meditating.
