8. Program Learning Outcomes Coverage Explanation:

Following PLOs are covered in this course.

PLO1: Engineering Knowledge:

An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and

an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

The assignments, quizzes, exams, and laboratory experiments require direct application of
mathematics and engineering knowledge to successfully complete the course. Students
learn how fundamental electrical engineering and mathematical concepts are used to
understand and perform various calculations of AC/DC Distribution Systems and other
outcomes mentioned in CLOs. (High relevance to course).

PLO2: Problem Analyses:

An ability to identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex

engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of
mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.

The complex engineering problem given as assignment addresses PLO2. In addition the
power factor improvement calculations and implementation in different scenarios along
with voltage control and utilization topics assist in achieving the PLO2.

PLO9: Individual and Team Work:

An ability to work effectively, as an individual or in a team, on multifaceted and /or
multidisciplinary settings.
The students perform various experiments during laboratory work in groups. Their
evaluation according to psychomotor domain and affective domain help in assessing their
ability of working as an individual and as team member. As every student must submit a
lab report after every experiment.
